A subsidiary of Hyundai Motor Company (HMC) from South Korea, Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI) is doing business in the Philippines and selling Hyundai cars to the Filipinos since 2001. The company is one of the top five auto brands in the Philippines with a hold on 8.10% market share in the country.
Hyundai Philippines extensive vehicle portfolio comprises of an MPV (Grand Starex), five sedans (Accent, Elantra, Ioniq Hybrid, Reina, Ioniq EV), two SUVs (Santa Fe and Palisade), a hatchback (Veloster), three minivans (H-100, Grand Starex, and H350), and three crossovers (Tucson, Kona, and Kona EV).
In 2019, Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI) witnessed sales of as many as 33,762 Hyundai cars in Philippines, which helped the company to acquire an 8.10% market share and grab the fourth position on the list of top-selling auto brands in the country. The total sales, however, were lower by 4.63% in comparison to the company's performance in 2018, where Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI) traded 35,401 vehicles.
