Inside, the Hyundai Ioniq 9’s cabin offers an impressive mix of premium creature comforts and cutting-edge technology. On top, it comes with a panoramic sunroof with a one touch safety feature. Up front, the driver is greeted by dual 12.3-inch screens, with one serving as the TFT LCD instrument cluster and the other as the EV’s infotainment display. The driver also gets a head-up display, a leather-wrapped motor-driven power steering wheel with a paddle shifter, as well as a steering column-mounted shift lever (shift by wire).

For starters, the Hyundai Ioniq 9’s design is based on the brand’s “Aerosthetic” philosophy, which combines aerodynamic features with distinct, futuristic styling. Its Cyberpunk-like fascia is highlighted by a full-width light bar that connects the pixel-themed “Small Cube Projection" LED headlamps with an intelligent front-lighting system and LED daytime running lights (DRLs). Additionally, its closed-off grille finished in gloss black makes its front design look classy and premium. And, underneath, it gets active air flaps for optimized cooling and improved aerodynamics overall. 

Furthermore, it features a muscular SUV silhouette complemented by hypermodern design elements, such as automatic flush-type door handles with ambient lighting and digital side mirrors. This electric SUV is fitted with 21-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels, which give its silhouette an elegant appeal on the road. 

Like the front, the rear also exudes a Cyberpunk-like vibe, accentuated by its sloping roofline and pixel-themed LED combination lamp. This EV gets a height-adjustable power tailgate for more convenient loading and unloading of cargo. And, on top, it comes with roof rails for added storage area, reinforcing its practical nature.

In terms of dimensions, the Hyundai Ioniq 9 measures 5,060 mm in length, 1,980 mm in width, and 1,790 mm in height. This 6-seater all-electric SUV also has a wheelbase of 3,130 mm and a ground clearance of 174 mm.

The Hyundai Ioniq 9 comes with a MacPherson Strut suspension with a Dual Lower Arm at the front and a Multi-Link at the rear. Its suspension setup is also equipped with front and rear shock absorbers (front: High-Performance Damper, rear: Self-Levelizer). Thanks to this advanced setup, you and your passengers can enjoy a comfortable and very adaptable riding experience across a variety of road conditions. In the city, it still handles quite well for its size. However, it is by no means a sporty vehicle. Hence, it would be better to approach sharp turns and corners at high speeds with extra precaution in this EV.

The Hyundai Ioniq 9 is powered by a pair of permanent magnet synchronous motors, generating 308 PS of maximum combined power output and 605 Nm of maximum combined torque output. Feeding its dual-motor setup is a 110.3-kWh Lithium-Ion battery that offers a 600-km range on a single charge and supports ultra-fast charging of 10-80% in just 24 minutes. This EV utilizes an all-wheel drivetrain.

The Ioniq 9 is impressively quick for its size, boasting an acceleration time of 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.7 seconds. Its electric powertrain offers smooth, linear power delivery, allowing for effortless overtaking on the open road. And, even at high speeds, its cabin remains quiet and peaceful, thanks to its Road Active Noise Cancelling technology.

The Hyundai Ioniq 9 is fitted with front and rear disc brakes. Its braking setup is supported by an anti-lock braking system with a multi-collision brake, electronic stability control, hill-start assist control, and downhill brake control.

This EV is also equipped with Hyundai’s SMARTSENSE technology, which includes smart cruise control with stop and go, a blind spot view monitor with blind spot collision avoidance assist, parking distance warning (forward, side, and reverse), a manual speed limit assist, and a surround view monitor, among others.
