Vehicle specifications
The Mazda CX-80 has the following measurements.
Its exterior continues to follow the Kodo-Soul of Motion design philosophy, emphasizing sculpted surfaces, carefully controlled proportions, and the interplay of light and shadow.
At the front, an elongated hood underscores the vehicle's front-engine, rear-wheel-drive-based architecture. Along the sides, chrome window moldings emphasize the extended cabin and third-row seating, while integrated roof rails and 20-inch high-gloss black alloy wheels complete its profile.

Also introduced in the CX-80 is Mazda’ latest Takuminuri paint finish called Melting Copper Metallic. This joins the other available exterior colors include Soul Red Crystal, Machine Gray, Rhodium White, and Jet Black Mica.
Inside, the CX-80 sports Nappa leather upholstery, available in black or tan, complemented by chrome accents and a wide instrument panel.
It also comes with three primary monitors:
- 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster
- 12.3-inch central infotainment display
- Active Driving Display, which projects driving information onto the driver's field of vision
Other comfort and convenience features include:
- Panoramic sunroof measuring 950 mm wide and 1,021 mm long
- Three-zone automatic climate control with air-conditioning vents extending to the third row
- Integrated rear-door sunshades
- 12-speaker Bose premium audio system
Mazda offers two second-row seating configurations, allowing buyers to choose between a seven-seat layout with a three-person bench or a six-seat arrangement featuring two individual captain's chairs and a center console.
The second-row bench configuration provides 120 mm of sliding adjustment and a variable reclining range of 15 to 33 degrees. It also offers 1,476 mm of shoulder room and 996 mm of headroom.
Access to the third row is facilitated by large rear-door openings, a one-touch walk-in function for the second row, a wide and flat step area, and a conveniently positioned handgrip integrated into the side trim.
Mazda says the third row can accommodate passengers up to 1.7 meters tall.
Aside from passenger accommodation, the CX-80 offers a cargo area that can carry 258 liters to a maximum of 1,971 liters.
Adding convenience is a hands-free powered tailgate, which can be opened or closed through a sensor located beneath the rear bumper.
At the heart of the CX-80 is Mazda's e-Skyactiv PHEV system—pairing a 2.5-liter Skyactiv-G four-cylinder direct-injection gasoline engine with an electric motor and a 17.8-kilowatt-hour nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) battery.
The electrified powertrain is connected to a torque-converter-less eight-speed automatic transmission, with power delivered through Mazda's all-wheel-drive system.
The individual powertrain figures are as follows:

With this setup, the CX-80 can accelerate to 100 kilometers per hour from rest in around 6.8 seconds. Its battery also provides an all-electric driving range of up to 65 kilometers.
The battery can be replenished through regenerative braking, which recovers energy during deceleration. Drivers can also use the Charge mode to prioritize battery charging up to a user-selected level.
Alternatively, the vehicle can be plugged into a compatible charging source at home or at the office. A portable alternate current charger capable of delivering up to 7.2 kilowatts is included with the vehicle.
Mazda has positioned the battery pack beneath the floor to help lower the CX-80's center of gravity, an arrangement intended to improve stability and contribute to more predictable vehicle dynamics. Complementing this is the suspension system consisting of a double-wishbone setup at the front and a multi-link arrangement at the rear as well as the Kinematic Posture Control, a technology designed to help suppress body movement and improve stability when cornering.

Together, these technologies are intended to preserve the responsive driving character associated with Mazda while accommodating the additional weight and packaging requirements of a plug-in hybrid system.
The CX-80 comes equipped with Mazda's i-Activsense suite of active safety and driver-assistance technologies.
These include:
- Smart Brake Support with vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian detection, including day- and nighttime operation
- Smart Brake Support Front Crossing and head-on collision mitigation
- Smart Brake Support Rear Crossing
- Lane-keep Assist System
- Blind Spot Monitoring
- Emergency Lane Keeping with head-on traffic avoidance assist
- Driver Attention Alert
Mazda has also incorporated additional safeguards specific to the vehicle's high-voltage hybrid system.
The battery housing uses high-strength aluminum, while the PHEV system is designed to automatically shut off the high-voltage battery and discharge its energy when a collision is detected.
The Mazda CX-80 PHEV is available in three configurations in the Philippines. They are priced:
