Geely PH teases Geometry C

Geely Philippines gave a sneak peek of the Geometry C — a purely-electric vehicle (EV) that is set to be retailed in the local market within the year.

Leading the preview conducted at Geely North EDSA dealership were newly Sojitz G Auto Philippines (SGAP) President Naoyuki Takeda and his Vice President for Vehicle Sales and Flagship Dealerships Reginald See.

Should its local sales commence, the electrified sport utility vehicle will expand Geely’s local lineup to six — joining the mild-hybrid Azkarra as well as the Coolray, Okavango, Emgrand, and GX3 Pro.

While SGAP only shared regulated details about the upcoming model, here’s what the Geely Geometry C comes with in markets abroad.

Sporting a very modern look, the forthcoming model wears pointed headlamps and a fascia with limited vents.

At the side, the Geely Geometry C boasts sloping roof design, flush door handles that comes out when the vehicle is unlocked, and a panoramic sunroof.

Seen at the vehicle’s rear are feather-shaped taillamps that go well with overall look.

To the vehicle’s rear are the smooth edges complemented by the feather-shaped taillamps.

For its interior, the Geely Geometry C is fitted with plush leather seats, a flat-bottom steering wheel as well as a tablet-like digital cluster gauge and infotainment system.

Powering the vehicle is an electric motor that can dish out as much as nearly 204 horsepower and 310 Newton-meters of torque — giving the sport utility vehicle the capability to go 100 kilometers per hour from standstill in 7.7 seconds.

The mill is matched to a lithium-ion battery pack that gives it a range of up to 460 kilometers (based on Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure standards).

According to Geely, Geometry C is outfitted with a host of driver assistive features such as head-up display projection, 540-degree AR chassis view, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, blind spot detection.

No price was shared yet as of posting so customers need to wait for SGAP’s announcement about the Geely Geometry C’s launch — which could happen at the latter half of the year.
