Isuzu launches limited-edition single-seater pickup

In a recent press release, Isuzu announced its latest addition to the D-Max family — the Limited Edition D-Max Street. The announcement was made by Isuzu’s European arm which described it as “a short-wheelbase, single cab pickup specifically designed for inner-city areas.”

According to Isuzu, the Limited Edition D-Max Street has “the ability to carry one passenger and with an impressive, albeit compact load area.” It’s apparently fitted with 18-inch wheels, condensed side steps, as well as chrome front grille, mirror covers, and door handles.

It can also be had in any color the customer chooses, provided it is blue.

“This innovative new single-cab short-wheel base pick-up may have its shortcomings, but it is ideal for use on city streets and in urban areas. With the new D-Max Street, Isuzu UK is looking to corner the urban pick-up market,” said an Isuzu UK spokesperson.

Unfortunately for those looking to drive home the limited-edition pickup truck, Isuzu only accepted orders until noon of April 1.

It seems that the “Pickup Professionals” not only has a knack for making good trucks but also for giving its customers a good laugh as it is, for all intents and purposes, an April Fools joke.
