Isuzu PH Brings 'Isuzu 4x4 Xtreme Xperience' to Iloilo

Following the similar--and successful--program last August in Cebu, Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) flexed its muscles in Iloilo recently for the "Isuzu 4x4 Xtreme Xperience."

Last September 21-23, IPC made a public interactive exhibition at Festive Walk Mall at the Iloilo Business Park in Mandurriao, Iloilo City. Highlighting the three-day show was the 4x4 Xtreme Xperience Action Ramp, wherein brave volunteers/passengers experienced riding a 3.0-liter Isuzu D-Max 4x4 up and down a two-storey high, steep, narrow metal ramp. Both the Isuzu D-Max and mu-X are powered by the new RZ4E -TC engine and the reliable 4JJ1-TCX engine that have the Blue Power Technology, that provides 148 and 175 horses, respectively, and has a maximum torque of 350 and 380 Nm. Despite its enormous weight (2,800 kilograms to be exact), the 4x4 3-liter D-Max made sure it has ample nifty features to get to the top--literally and figuratively. To conquer the almost 45-degree massive climb and descent, it has Hill Start Assist and Hill Descent Control, as well as Brake Assist, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, Traction Control System, among other treats to ensure safety and security. IPC executives such as President Hajime Koso, Corporate Sales Division Head Joseph Bautista, and Isuzu Iloilo Branch Manager Rene Tagamolila rode and conquered the ramp to showcase the capabilities of their workhorse. Complementing the capabilities of its vehicles, IPC also opened a 12-station "consumer journey" to engage all members of the family to come and join the festivities. Young visitors enjoyed the photobooth, bike station, and coloring book area while potential buyers can purchase units and view authentic Isuzu accessories and premium items at special discounted price and other promos.

Apart from that, enthusiasts were also given the chance to test drive and view the accessorized versions of the Isuzu D-Max and Isuzu mu-X and test drive the Isuzu mu-X powered by the RZ4E engine. The RZ4E engine, which was introduced locally earlier this year, is fitted with a water-cooled variable geometry system turbocharger. The 1.8-liter engine is available in 4x2, in manual and automatic transmission.

Special activities such as the dance competition, performances by Isuzu brand ambassadress Maja Salvador opened the festive mood during the first day and was wrapped up by with a bang rapper Gloc 9 for the last night of the Iloilo leg.
