Isuzu Blue Power Technology
Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) marked its 20th anniversary in the local automotive industry by launching its new line of environment-friendly 'Blue Power Technology' engines. According to Isuzu, Blue Power Technology is "an eco-friendly diesel engine designed to promote green technology." Now equipped across all of Isuzu's vehicle lineup, the Blue Power Technology provides maximum engine output, cleaner emissions, superb fuel economy, and engine durability. For the Isuzu D-Max and Isuzu MU-X, the 3.0-liter 4JJ1-TCX Blue Power engine produces 175 hp and 380 Nm of torque, and is now Euro 4-compliant.

Beyond the new engine, the D-Max now comes with Hill Start Assist and Hill Descent Control and is equipped with multiple USB ports while the facelifted MU-X is now mated to a six-speed transmission for both manual and automatic variants and has Auto-Headlight Leveling, Hill Descent Control, and an eight-inch screen entertainment system with USB  link and text-to-speech navigation. Undergoing a full-model change is the all-new Isuzu N-Series light-duty trucks which not only received a fresh face but the Blue Power Euro 4 engines, namely: the 4JH1-TC (NLR77 model), 4JJ1-TC (NLR85, NMR85 & NPR85 models) and 4HK1-TCN (NQR75 model).

As for the medium-duty Isuzu F-Series truck lineup, it also has the new Blue Power Technology with the 4HK1-TC (FRR), 6HK1-TCN (FSR and FVR), and the 6HK1-TCS (FVM) engines being more powerful yet fuel-efficient while complying with stringent Euro 4 emissions standard to make the trucks more effective workhorses. Finally, the Isuzu C & E Series lineup with it 6WG1-TGR engine is now Euro-compliant so it has higher torque at low speed thanks to the modified turbocharger and increased engine displacement. "We are hoping yet we are confident that the Philippines will continue to patronize the brand with these substantial changes that we have introduced," Koso noted after introducing Isuzu's new Blue Power Technology-equipped vehicles. "We believe that these game changers are surely to hit it big in the local automotive industry.
