Maserati unveils V8-powered MC Edition Ghibli, Levante, and Quattroporte

Maserati yesterday unveiled the MC Edition of its iconic Ghibli, Levante, and Quattroporte models. According to the Italian luxury sports car maker, the new MC Edition vehicles celebrate Maserati's uncompromising performance and racing spirit. After all, MC — which stands for Maserati Corse — is an expression of the brand’s sporty nature, fostered on the track for everyday competition.

  • Which Maserati models will get the MC Edition treatment?

Included in the MC Edition range is the Ghibli premium sedan, the full-size Quattroporte luxury sedan, and the Levante mid-size luxury crossover SUV.
  • Which variants of the Ghibli, Levante, and Quattroporte be available in the MC Edition specification?

Maserati said that only the V8 versions of the said models will be available in MC Edition.
  • When and where will these special models be made available?

According to Maserati, they are now available in the EMEA, APAC, and China regions.
  • The focus of the MC Editions, said Maserati, is on the V8-powered versions of the Ghibli premium sedan, the full-size Quattroporte luxury sedan, and the Levante mid-size luxury crossover SUV. Maserati looks to its 3.8-liter power plants to highlight the MC Edition cars’ uncompromising driving pleasure.

In addition to having the brand’s most powerful engine, the special MC Edition models will also be wearing exclusive colors: Giallo Corse and Blu Vittoria. These hues hark back to Maserati’s roots and represent the colors of Modena, the home of Maserati.

Both colors are finished with three layers. The Giallo Corse sports a striking scheme of yellow with a tint of blue mica, while the Blu Vittoria boasts a deep, impactful matte-blue paint.

To complement the exterior, the MC Edition range features distinctive details in Piano Black and a specific badge on the rear fender and B-pillar. The MC Edition Levante crossover SUV gets befitting 22-inch wheels, while the Ghibli and Quattroporte sedans get both get a set of 21-inch rims. The gloss black finish of the wheel rims and blue brake calipers complete the look.

The MC Edition models feature similarly unique interior elements such as blue carbon fiber in the cabin, yellow and blue stitching on the seats across the natural Nero Pienofiore black leather with denim accents, MC Edition logos on the headrests, and a dedicated badge at the center console.

Other features of the MC Edition range include an electronic sunroof, a Bowers & Wilkins surround sound system, and a Driver Assistance package.

The Modena-based carmaker said that the V8-powered MC Edition models of the Ghibli, Levante, and Quattroporte are now available in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, as well as in Asia Pacific and in China.
