Mazda joins humanitarian efforts in Ukraine

The automotive industry rallies together in response to the ongoing crisis in Ukraine. The latest to announce its involvement in these efforts is Mazda.

  • In a recent press release, the Japanese automaker said, “Mazda Motor Corporation is deeply saddened by the events taking place in Ukraine and is concerned for the safety and well-being of people there and throughout the region. We hope that the situation will be brought to an end as soon as possible and that peace and security will return to Ukraine.”

    Accordion to Mazda, it has colleagues in the region that are already active and are taking part in various humanitarian efforts. In addition, the Hiroshima-based company will be making a donation of one million euros to UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency to support the activities which provide humanitarian aid to the affected populations in Ukraine and countries in the region.

    Mazda will also be collecting and distributing donations they receive from its employees around the world. The automotive brand also said that it will support the grassroots activities already being carried out by the employees of the local Mazda operations in Europe.
