Mazda UK to launch CX-60 in 3 trims

The highly anticipated Mazda CX-60 is ready to make its UK debut this autumn (around September to November). The Japanese carmaker’s award-winning SUV will be sold in three trims in the region: Exclusive Line, Homura, and Takumi.

The Exclusive Line and Homura grades come with a cabin with black leather, dark dash trim, and chrome surrounds. The range-topping Takumi trim, on the other hand, comes with an interior with a mix of different materials and textures such as white Nappa leather, maple wood, chrome, and high-quality fabrics.

Additionally, Takumi variants feature the Japanese stitching technique of Kakenui, which is a hanging stitch that leaves a seam with spaces between the trim fabrics revealing a glimpse of the material beneath.

According to Mazda, this traditional Japanese style can be seen in the Takumi’s fabric dash panel, which is a standout feature of the cabin that was also inspired by Musubu — the art of traditional Japanese binding.

Furthermore, the Takumi models also boast maple wood trims on the doors and central transmission tunnel, and the treatment of the wood reflects the Japanese aesthetic of Hacho — asymmetrical balance or intentional unevenness.

Matched on the doors to real metal trim, the maple woodworks with the light Nappa leather, the diverse patterns of the woven fabrics, and Kakenui hanging stitching to deliver a uniquely premium cabin experience deeply rooted in Japanese heritage.

On top of the abovementioned trim grades, the Mazda CX-60 can be had with optional packages including Convenience Pack and Driver Assistance Pack, with a Comfort Pack available on Exclusive-Line.

A panoramic sunroof is also available as an optional add-on to both the Homura and Takumi.

Based on Mazda UK’s price and specs guide, the Exclusive-Line is priced at £36,579.17 while the Homura gets a £38,870.83 price tag. Meanwhile, the Takumi trim has a sticker price of £39,995.83.
