New Volkswagen Tiguan Black Edition now available in UK

Volkswagen announced that the new Tiguan Black Edition is now available in the United Kingdom (UK) market.

The new Volkswagen Tiguan Black Edition trim separates itself from other Tiguan variants with its blacked-out appointments. At the front is a black grille with chrome appliques. The front fascia is flanked by LED headlamps and LED daytime running lights. Below is an R-Line body-colored bumper with black styling elements.

On its sides are black side mirrors, black window frames, black roof rails, and a set of 20-inch Suzuka Black alloy wheels.

To its rear is an R-Line body-colored spoiler, a pair LED taillamps, rear fog lights, and a dark exhaust pipe.

Inside the new Volkswagen Tiguan Black Edition is a black roof lining, brushed stainless steel pedals and footrest, front and rear floor mats with gray stitching, as well as chrome elements on the mirror switch, power window switches, and door handles.

Further, the new Volkswagen Tiguan Black Edition offers a leather-wrapped steering wheel, leatherette inserts on its door and side panels, a leather gear shifter, and sports comfort front seats.

The Black Edition trim has been offered on other Volkswagen nameplates, namely the T-Cross, Touareg, and T-Roc.

For the month of March, the new UK-spec Volkswagen Tiguan Black Edition — which went on sale on March 2 — is currently offered under the carmaker’s “Money-Saving March SUV Event.”

The new Volkswagen Tiguan Black Edition has a base price of £37,325 (around P2.474 million).

To note, the Volkswagen Tiguan was previously available in the Philippines but was silently pulled out of the market in 2017. Nevertheless, those looking to own a Philippine-spec sport utility vehicle can find one in the second-hand car market.
