The Nissan Skyline Nismo, Nissan pointed out, has been developed by combining the qualities of its GT predecessors with aerodynamic and chassis technologies that leverage Nismo’s unique racing technology.
The aim, Nissan explained, is to produce a car that’s even faster, more comfortable, and safer than its illustrious predecessors.
Its capabilities are reflected through special exterior appointments that come in the form of specially developed Nismo forward and rear bumpers, side sill covers with distinctive red accents, as well as Nismo-exclusive fog lamps and Nismo badges.
The cabin of the Nissan Skyline Nismo also comes with unique features such as a leather-wrapped steering wheel with a Nismo-exclusive red center mark, a 280 kilometers per hour speedometer, and a red-ringed tachometer sporting a Nismo logo that underlines the car’s performance.
Owners will be sitting on Recaro sports seats that are accented with a red centerpiece.
Powering the Nissan Skyline Nismo is an engine exclusively tuned by the same engineers involved in the development of the GT500 racing class engine. Power peaks at 399 horses while torque maxes out at 550 Newton-meters.
The powerplant is mated to a seven-speed full-range electronic automatic transmission with manual mode.
Stopping power will be facilitated by brake pads that feature a friction material with outstanding fade-resistance properties. In the same respect, Nissan re-tuned the antilock braking system to shorten the braking distance.
The brakes are housed behind Nismo-exclusive Enkei 19-inch aluminum wheels shod in specially developed performance tires that provide an optimal balance between front and rear grip.
The high performance of the wheels and tires is enhanced by specially tuned suspension and stabilizers that reduce roll when turning and maintain tracking on uneven road surfaces.
The Nissan Skyline Nismo will be offered from ¥7,880,400 (approximately P3.094 million) to ¥9,479,800 (P3.722 million).
