Standard Insurance Celebrates Life, Love of Sea at M1 Freedom Party

Standard Insurance has become one of the household names in the non-life insurance industry.

Many identify the company with cars, which is one of its strongholds, but last April, it partnered with the M1 Freedom Party to show that it’s not just all work and that it knows how to party as well.

Started May last year, the M1 Freedom Party is an annual event as a celebration of life, love, and freedom.

Seymour Henry Saldavia, director for the Subic Sailing Club Inc.--the presenter of the M1 Freedom Party--said that the event's concept is to show their love for the deep blue.

"We came up with the idea of M1 mainly because we want to spread the love of boating, to make an awareness that sailing is not only for the elite class, and to continue our legacy as a maritime nation," Saldavia explained.

According to Saldavia, Standard Insurance has been one of the strongest supporters for the M1 Freedom Party.

"Standard Insurance participated in the Regatta as a major sponsor also in M1 Freedom Party," Saldavia added.

Around 1,000 participants flocked to the event.

The event also became a car shows as various Ford car clubs pumped up the whole day before partying the night away.
