The Subaru Solterra has an estimated range of 366km on a single charge.The five-star rating was given to Subaru’s flagship electric vehicle (EV) after it registered scores in all four-assessment areas (Adult Occupant, Child Occupant, Vulnerable Road Users, Safety Assist) that stand above the minimum threshold.
Despite stringent tests, the Euro-spec Subaru Solterra garnered a 91 percent score in Safety Assist, an 88 percent score in the Adult Occupant safety test, and an 87 percent score in the Child Occupant safety assessment.
Per Subaru, the Solterra EV SUV scored a very high score in the Vulnerable Road Users category for Cyclist Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB). It achieved 8.7 out of nine points in the said evaluation.
The Subaru Solterra was unveiled by the automotive brand last year. It is built on the Shibuya-based automotive brand’s e-Subaru Global Platform and is equipped with the carmaker’s StarDrive powertrain system allowing the Soterra to achieve an estimated range of 366 kilometers (km). It also comes standard with Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, which means that the Subaru Solterra is as reliable driving on rough terrain as it is capable of cruising on paved roads.
