Subaru WRX

The Subaru WRX is one of the most attractive cars when you consider the cabin. The flat-bottom steering wheel is something to love, especially with the attractive logo inscribed right in the centre.

The driver’s console and dashboard will excite you. Besides the bright and colourful console, the dashboard has two screens, one above the AC centre AC vents and the main just below it. The connectivity on the 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system includes Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The driver’s seat is 10-way power-adjustable for the utmost comfort and convenience of the drivers. Also, comfort is handled by automatic climate control.

The Subaru WRX has a powerful presence in terms of its design. The biggest highlight on the front end of the sedan is the massive air intake vent on the hood. Even the base model of the Subaru WRX is designed and powered to be more than just a casual sedan. It has a lot better feel of the throttle than the peers from Mercedes and Audi. The suspension setup of MacPherson Strut and double-wishbone are tuned to be sporty, but not discomforting.

The large wheels and sticky tyres manage to keep the car planted firmly on the road. The car weighs just over 1,500 kilograms which seems to be the perfect weight to do well with the drag force and aerodynamics.

The Subaru WRX is known for its powerful engine that can do wonders in the open roads. The 2.0-litre mill that can put out a maximum power of 268 PS at 5,600 rpm, along with a peak torque of 350 Nm, which kicks in from just 2,400 rpm.

This produced power is channelled to the wheels via a High Torque Lineartronic CVT, which also gets a paddle shifter at the steering. However, the purists also get optional 6-speed manual transmission trim for an added feel of the gear lever.

The Subaru WRX, being a road-based sports car, manages to keep the safety department at the best. To begin with, the front wheels have ventilated discs, while the rear gets the standard unit. This adds on a 4-channel ABS setup that is further assisted by the presence of electronic brakeforce distribution.

Besides just this, the intelligent electricals of the car add on Active Toque Vectoring manages the amount of torque on each wheel intelligently. There are multiple airbags, including ones for the knees, too.

The Subaru WRX might not be as preferred car as the Mercedes, Audi, and BMW. However, then it comes to the value for money and power aspect, there is no denying the fact that it is the best that one can buy, be it for the features, design power of safety. Plus, the pricing is not pocket-burning as well.
