Triumph PH introduces Scrambler 400 XC neo-retro off-roader
MANILA: Triumph Motorcycles Philippines, a brand of the Autohub Group, has rolled out the all-new Scrambler 400 XC for the Philippine market.

Triumph Scrambler 400 XC: specs, features
For its engine, the Triumph Scrambler 400 XC uses a 398-cubic-centimeter, single-cylinder, double-overhead-cam, four-valve mill. The aforementioned goes together with a wet, multi-plate clutch with slip and assist feature, as well as a six-speed gearbox.
Peak output for the Scrambler 400 XC’s engine is set at 39.4 horsepower (hp) and 37.5 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque.

Handling and ride quality for the model are provided by a twin-sided, cast-aluminum swing kitted out with a gas monoshock, while its front end has 43-millimeter (mm) big piston forks. The said suspension systems boasts up to 150 mm of travel.
For its brakes, the off-road ride was equipped with 320 mm front and 230 mm rear discs. These are paired with Brembo single-piston calipers, while safety is handled by an anti-lock braking system with off-road mode.

Unlike the road-oriented Triumph Scrambler 400 X, the Scrambler 400 XC features additional components that make it ready for harsh terrain. Specifically, it has spoke-tubeless 19x2.5-inch wheels, an aluminum sump guard, and a front mudguard with a higher mount point.
Additionally, the all-new nameplate was given adjustable foot controls and levers in order to be usable when one is wearing off-road-oriented gear. The aforementioned may also help make the bike suitable for a wider variety of riders.
