WATCH: Triumph showcases design language of new Tiger 1200

In the past few months, Triumph has been testing the prototype model of the Tiger 1200 ADV. The British motorcycle company announced in September that the “all-new Tiger 1200 has now reached its exciting final stages of testing.”

  • When did Triumph start the prototype testing of the new Tiger 1200?

The UK-based motorcycle company announced its official prototype testing back in September.
  • What is the video about?

The newly released 31-second clip showcases the new Tiger design language previously seen on the Tiger 900 family.
  • They added that “the new 1200 will combine the triple powered engine advantage with a new dimension in class-leading agility, control, and handling.”

A series of short videos were also released on Triumph’s official YouTube channel. You can watch the fourth — and the latest — installment of the short clips here.

The video shows us a stunning view of the adventure bike, albeit wrapped in Triumph camouflage, from various angles. Triumph says that the new look incorporates the new Tiger design language which was showcased in the Tiger 900 family.

The new Tiger 1200 prototype, says Triumph, demonstrates the new generation’s distinctive and purposeful look.

Developed by Triumph’s off-road specialists, the Tiger 1200 is expected to boast unstoppable on- and off-road performance. The motorcycle brand says that it was designed and engineered with purpose and intent to deliver the most capable large-capacity adventure motorcycle available.

Triumph is yet to reveal the specifications of the upcoming Tiger 1200, but the current-gen Tiger 1200 ADV features a 1,215cc engine paired with a six-speed gearbox and makes 139hp and 122Nm of torque.

It also features onboard tech such as ABS, traction control, cruise control, selectable riding modes, the Triumph Shift Assist, and the high-spec Triumph Semi-Active Suspension (TSAS), among others.

The Tiger 1200 is yet to arrive at local dealerships although Triumph’s local ADV lineup includes expressway-legal bikes like the new Tiger Sport 600 and the Tiger 900.
