VinFast categorizes who lineup into 3 main sub brands

MANILA: VinFast has defined the differences among its wide-ranging products by clustering them into three sub-brands.

The Haiphong-headquartered electric vehicle marque’s strategic structuring led to the creation of Lac Hong (for premium offerings), VF (for the mass-market vehicle line), and Green (for commercial mobility needs).

VinFast made this identification after also adding two new nameplates under Lac Hong: the 800S and 900S. Their launch is set for next year.

Lac Hong 800S, 900S specifications

Inspired by Vietnam’s cultural heritage, two newest Lac Hong models highlight the country’s courage, intellect and stature.

While they share the same design language improved with symbolic detailing and premium materials, the difference between the Lac Hong 800S and 900S is that the former shows

a bold, powerful and refined aesthetic, while the latter, enduring elegance.

Their grilles are made up of vertical slats reminiscent of the Vietnamese bamboo, while the wing-shaped emblem looks like a Lac bird in ascent. Other notable portions looked like the Dong Son bronze drum and terraced rice fields.

The “Lac Hong” calligraphy found in the vehicles are in gold-plated alloy.

For their interior, both models are fitted with Nappa leather, rare woods and gold-plated appliques. Other first-class amenities include zero-gravity executive seats, automatic power-assisted doors, and premium entertainment systems.

Performance-wise, the two offerings are outfitted with a fully active suspensions and its drivetrain can be configured with a tri-motor system (one front motor and two rear motors that can generate a combined output of as much as 625 horsepower).

“Following a period of accelerated growth - achieving the number one position in Vietnam and establishing our presence in key regional markets — the completion of our three-brand structure lays the foundation for our next phase of development: structured, professional and breakthrough-driven,” VinFast Global Automotives Deputy Chief Executive Officer Duong Thi Thu Trang said.

“The Lac Hong 800S and 900S stand as further proof of VinFast’s technological mastery, product development capability and advanced manufacturing expertise. We believe products created by Vietnamese intellect, craftsmanship and resilience not only inspire national pride but also convey a powerful message about Vietnam’s cultural heritage and technological stature in this new era of global advancement, she added.

To note, VinFast developed and launched more than 15 electric vehicle models and has maintained its leadership position in its home country for the 16 straight months. Last year alone, it was able to achieve a 175,099-vehicle sales record.
