    Electricity over fossil fuels

    Yamaha Motor Company Limited has switched from using fossil fuels to electric power. According to the Hamamatsu-based firm, electricity is now used for processes like pre-treatment, painting, baking, and drying functions.

    In doing so, heat wasted in the paint line was reduced by some 60 percent.

    To achieve such a feat, Yamaha Motor Company Limited began using the following:

    • Paint that can be used at lower temperatures
    • A more compact facility design
    • Insulation and air supply recycling technologies

    Harmony between man and machine

    Both man and machine work in harmony in the brand’s factory in Iwata.

    Paint is applied with precision using robots while skilled artisans apply the finishing touches.
