The Sporty is the smallest two-wheeler in Yamaha’s Mio series. It’s part of the bestselling automatic transmission (AT) motorcycles in the Philippines. The Mio Sporty is hauled by a single-cylinder, air-cooled 114cc engine which outputs 8 PS maximum power and 7.2 Nm peak torque. Key features of the two-wheeler include halogen headlamps and taillights, and an analog instrument cluster. Other features include a pass switch, an engine check warning light, and a shutter lock. The Mio Sporty rolls on 14-inch wheels. It has a single disc brake in the front. The standard version of the Mio Sporty commands a price of ₱66,900.

As a part of the revival of its scooter lineup for the Philippine’s two-wheeler market, Yamaha introduced an all-new scooter which now holds the title of the most affordable scooter from it – the all-new Mio Sporty. Especially targeted for younger riders, the 2021 Yamaha Mio Sporty has been launched in two different variants – the ‘Casual Essentials’, which is available in three color schemes of Magenta, Purple, and Yellow, and the ‘Matte Bold Edition’, which can be had in one of the three matte color schemes of Burgundy, Green, and Black. Both these variants of the 2021 Yamaha Mio Sporty have been priced at PHP 67,900.

One look at the 2021 Yamaha Mio Sporty is enough to confirm that its overall styling is inclined towards the urban younger audience more than any other age group. The scooter, with its slim and lean profile, looks chic and simple. While the ‘Casual Essentials’ variant of the Mio Sporty comes with girly body decals on its rear side panels, the ‘Matte Bold Edition’ variant looks quite sober with its all-matte paint scheme.
The front styling of the 2021 Yamaha Mio Sporty has some distinctive thanks to the U-shaped light cluster placed on the lower part of the front apron. This complete light cluster has clear lens turn indicators on either side and an auxiliary lamp in the middle.
