The Changan CS15 might not have the flashiest interior design in its segment, but its cabin is still oozing with practicality, comfort, and functionality for its price point. You have adequate room to accommodate four passengers inside the cabin. However, inserting a third adult passenger at the back might be a bit of an issue. On the bright side, you get a generous trunk space when the seats are folded, as well as seats that offer decent cushioning for everyone.

Meanwhile, drivers are given a modern cockpit, which offers a 7-inch full-digital display, a multifunction steering wheel wrapped in leather, and a nice-looking gear lever. All passengers can enjoy a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment display that is equipped with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, and USB, and is linked to a 4-speaker sound system. For more convenience and functionality, this SUV also comes with rear air vents, a 12V power socket, and three USB ports.

On the sides, blacked-out window trims, wheel arches, and side garnishes give it a nice, sporty two-toned silhouette. Additionally, this SUV runs on a sporty-looking set of 17-inch gunmetal alloy wheels.

Aside from these, it has a distinct-looking back end, accentuated by a two-toned tailgate, as well as sharp-looking LED tail lights with a high-mounted brake light. This SUV also comes with rear fog lights for increased visibility, especially at night. The Changan CS15 utilizes a MacPherson independent suspension at the front, while a Torsion Beam independent suspension at the rear. Its suspension setup is on the firmer side of things. Consequently, bumps and other road imperfections are noticeable inside the cabin, especially at high speeds. But, the trade off of its firm suspension setup is agile handling. In the city, you’ll be able to effortlessly maneuver through traffic and tight parking slots with this SUV. Overall, it is still fun to drive, regardless if you are an experienced driver or not. 

The Changan CS15 is powered by a 1.5L BlueCore gasoline engine that produces a maximum power output of 105 hp and a maximum torque of 145 Nm. Its engine is mated to a 5-speed wet-type dual-clutch transmission system. This CS15 utilizes a front-wheel drivetrain.

Despite its performance outputs, the Changan CS15 is still capable of cruising on the highway. However, if you are aiming for an exhilarating riding experience, then you might want to reconsider other options. At higher speeds, its engine tends to struggle, while its DCT can get a bit jerky. 

But, to be fair, this car isn’t performance-oriented nor designed to be driven spiritedly. At the end of the day, it fulfills its main purpose, which is to be a practical and reliable daily cruiser thanks to its great fuel economy (even in mixed conditions).

The Changan CS15 is equipped with multiple airbags, a rear parking sensor, tire pressure monitoring system, a reverse camera, as well as cruise control. Its braking setup is also supported by an anti-lock braking system, electronic brakeforce distribution, electronic stability program, and hill hold control.
