Chevrolet Camaro Overview
When car enthusiasts hear the term "muscle car”, many of them would think of the Chevrolet Camaro. Its v-shaped grille has been an iconic symbol in the car industry for generations. However, sadly, the Camaro line was discontinued by General Motors (GM), the American multinational automotive manufacturing company that owns Chevrolet, in 2024. This makes the 6th-generation model the last of its kind. That said, the opportunity to acquire the Camaro, an iconic and powerful sports car that offers great driver-centric technologies and performance, has never been this fleeting. Currently, this model is available in only one vehicle specification but is being offered in three variants depending on the paint. The Camaro with regular paint is priced at ₱4.267 million, while the variant with tint coat paint is ₱4.347 million. Its most expensive variant is the one with a metallic color at ₱4.397 million.

Chevrolet Camaro Interior
Upon entering the 6th-generation Camaro, its minimalist interior is very noticeable. Inside, the car is equipped with a jet black interior panel and leather upholstery. Located in the middle of the panel is an 8-inch Mylink Touchscreen Infotainment System that offers both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and is linked to a Bose 9-speaker premium sound system, which can definitely provide great acoustics inside Camaro. The center console, which has a custom leather-trimmed dashboard, adds to the interior’s classy vibe. Exclusive to the driver is a driver information center, which is an 8-inch instrument that displays a range of driving-related information through both digital and analog gauges. In addition, the driver also has access to a head-up display. Ultimately, these features ensure that the driver effectively monitors the performance of one’s Camaro while on the road.
In terms of seating, the driver has an 8-way power adjustable sport buckets seat that has ventilation, cooling, heating, and a memory feature. Meanwhile, the passenger has a 6-way power adjustable sport buckets seat with the same set of features excluding memory.
On the sides, this model is equipped with power windows and is sporting a pair of stainless Camaro door sill plates. At the back, the car is equipped with frameless rear view mirrors with an electrochromic auto dimming feature and a window defogger. However, it is important to note that one of the weaknesses of the 6th-generation Camaro is its cramped rear, which could potentially limit the driver’s visibility while on the road. All-around, the car is equipped with ambient lighting and a dual zone automatic climate control, ensuring that both the driver and passenger are comfortable inside the cabin.

Chevrolet Camaro Exterior
Compared to previous generations, the latest Chevrolet Camaro is not only made with a more aggressive look but is also sculpted aerodynamically. Its current design showcases a modern take on a muscle car. In general, its exterior is composed of the model line’s RS Appearance Package. The Camaro’s iconic honeycomb grilles are partnered with a pair of LED projector headlamps at the front. It also comes with a pair of LED DRLs. On the sides, it is equipped with power adjustable side mirrors with heater and auto dimming features, as well as door handles that blend well with the body’s color. Behind, there are LED tail lamps that add to its sleek modern look along with a decklid spoiler.
It sports the brand’s classic bowtie emblem and the RS badge both in the front and at the rear and makes use of 20-inch gray painted machine-faced aluminum wheels. The latest Camaro is available in seven colors: Radiant Red Tincoat, Vivid Orange Metallic, Red Hot, Sharkskin Silver Metallic, Black, Riverside Blue Metallic, and Shadow Grey Metallic.
-
Chevrolet Camaro Ride & Handling
In terms of suspension, the 6th-generation Camaro utilizes an independent sport suspension package for both front and rear. This suspension combination provides the driver with good grip and sharp handling. Hence, this sports car is definitely reliable for sporty driving.
-
Chevrolet Camaro Engine & Fuel Consumption
The 6th-generation Camaro is hauled by an inline-four-cylinder, 2.0L twin scroll turbocharger engine that produces a maximum power output of 275 hp and a maximum torque of 398 Nm. This runs on an 8-speed automatic transmission and utilizes a RWD drive wheel. It is placed in the middle among its competitors when it comes to power.
-
Chevrolet Camaro Braking & Safety
For a muscle car, the 6th-generation Camaro is reliable even for street driving since it is built with multiple safety features. It is equipped with Chevy’s StabiliTrak system, an engine immobilizer, electronic brakeforce distribution, brake assist, alerts for lane change, side blind zone, and rear cross traffic, SRS airbags, seatbelts, child seat anchorages, side door impact beams, and a rear camera. It is also made with systems designed for anti-lock braking, anti-theft, and tire pressure monitoring.
-
Chevrolet Camaro Verdict
Even though the 6th-generation Camaro offers an overall good performance through great handling and driver-centric features, it is currently at a disadvantage among its competitors in terms of price and availability. However, this model is arguably one of, if not the best in its segment as it balances both safety and power, making it well-adapted in today’s driving landscape.
