GAC M6 Pro

The M6 does not skimp on the interior – with an option for either fabric (for the GS) or all-leather upholstery (for the GL). True to its 7-seater feature, this MPV is 4793mm long, 1730mm tall, and 1837mm wide, with a 2810mm wheelbase and a 2+2+3 seating layout and ‘expandable’ luggage capacity – from 324-litre storage to 1,100 litre once the third-row seats are folded under. Its most striking feature is the highly distinctive wide-slatted grille, that, like the M8 before it, is reminiscent of outspread wings. 

Flanking either side of the grille, you have sleek LED daytime running lights and a pair of redesigned headlights for the GL variant, while the GS makes do with halogen options. The GL also comes with a lovely set of 18-inch alloy wheels, while the more budget-friendly GS makes do with 16-inchers. 

The M6 Pro rides MacPherson strut suspension up front and a torsion beam rear suspension at the back. In addition, the M6 Pro has a front-wheel drive drivetrain along with electric power steering.

The 2024 M6 Pro gets a significant power upgrade under the hood. A new 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, inspired by GAC's Empow, GS3 Emzoom, and Emkoo models. It delivers 177 horsepower and a substantial 270 Nm of torque. This translates to effortless performance, perfect for large families and their substantial luggage. The outdated 6-speed automatic transmission is replaced by a more modern 7-speed wet-dual clutch gearbox, offering smoother gear changes and potentially better fuel efficiency.

The M6 Pro prioritizes safety with standard features like dual airbags, hill control for both starts and descents, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold, and a stability program. It also keeps you informed with a tire pressure monitor and aids parking with rear sensors. Cruise control adds convenience on long journeys. For the most advanced safety features, the GL variant includes adaptive cruise control, lane-departure and keeping assistance, automatic emergency braking, high-beam assist, traffic jam assist, and traffic sign recognition.

The 2024 M6 Pro ups the comfort game with a panoramic sunroof, leather wheel, power driver's seat, ambient lighting, folding mirrors, heated seats, and a functional 3rd row with ISOFIX child seat anchors.
