Mahindra Enforcer Review

Mahindra Enforcer Overview
The Mahindra Enforcer is essentially a renamed version of the previous-generation Mahindra Bolero pickup truck, which is sold in the Philippines in multiple iterations, including single-cab and double-cab versions which are sold with both rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive configurations. Available in multiple variants like Standard, Floodbuster and Elite, the Mahindra Enforcer is sold with colour options like white, silver and brown.

Mahindra Enforcer Interior
Step inside the cabin of the Mahindra Enforcer, and you will realize how basic and old-school this cabin feels. The Enforcer is a purely utilitarian vehicle, and that is reflected in the way its cabin is laid out. The entire cabin features a grey theme all around, including for the door panels and dashboard, though it gets a few basics which make this vehicle easy to live with.
The three-spoke steering wheel of the Mahindra Enforcer is shaped like an anchor head, behind which the pickup truck gets a very basic three-pod analogue instrument console. The centre console here also has a very basic rectangular design, which accommodates basic power window switches on the left and rounded AC control dials on the right. The rectangular AC vents are placed above the centre console, while there is a 1-DIN audio system placed below the centre console in a dedicated rectangular panel. The Mahindra Enforcer also comes with a grab handle and lockable glovebox on the co-passenger side of the dashboard.

Mahindra Enforcer Exterior
Mahindra has kept things simple with the Enforcer pickup truck, which bears no changes or tweaks over the Bolero pickup truck sold in India, which is a renamed version. The overall design looks proportionate, with a host of angular elements making it look purposeful.
At the front, the Mahindra Enforcer has an inclined fascia comprising angular headlamps, which are spread outwards while accommodating halogen headlamps and rounded turn indicators within their housings. The grille in the middle of the front headlamps in the fascia has five vertical slats, with the middle slat having the rounded Mahindra logo above it as a part of the fascia. The body-coloured front bumper here looks large and rugged and comes with the provision of accommodating fog lamps when needed.
The side profile of the Mahindra Enforcer retains the angular essence in the design of the front profile and is available in both single-cab and double-cab versions. The single cab version has a two-door design, while the double cab version wears a four-door design, and in both versions, the door panels have an angular design and come with body decals over them. The door handles and rearview mirrors here are unpainted and look a tad too basic, though the design of the wheel caps for the 15-inch steel wheels looks decent.
At the back too, Mahindra has kept things plain and simple with a clean design for the deck lid cover at the rear. The rectangular halogen tail lamps are neatly integrated into the corners of the rear bumper, thus completing the design of the Enforcer at the back.

Mahindra Enforcer Ride & Handling
The Mahindra Enforcer is purely designed and engineered as a reliable and durable load hauler, which can transport goods with complete ease and assurance. The credit for this goes to its rugged and reliable leaf spring suspension at both ends, which is capable of handling heavy loads at full swing. The downside to it is the bouncy ride quality, which is prominent even on smoother surfaces.
-
Mahindra Enforcer Engine & Fuel Consumption
The Mahindra Enforcer shares its 2.5-litre four-cylinder diesel engine with its donor vehicle, the Mahindra Bolero pickup, which is offered with a 5-speed manual transmission as standard. This engine might sound crude, but is highly durable, claiming 100 PS of maximum power and 240 Nm of maximum torque.
-
Mahindra Enforcer Braking & Safety
The Mahindra Enforcer is a vehicle from the previous generation, which has been in continuous production with no major changes and safety equipment additions. The pickup comes with very basic safety features like electronic and speed-sensing door locks, seat belt warnings and door ajar warnings while missing out on other, more premium basics like airbags and ABS.
-
Mahindra Enforcer Verdict
The Mahindra Enforcer might feel crude, basic and outdated inside-out, but is highly rugged and reliable where it matters the most. With a durable engine and heavy-duty mechanical underpinnings, the Mahindra Enforcer can transport goods and loads with complete assurance.
