The MG 4 EV is the brand’s first battery-electric offering in the country. It is available in three variants: the Standard (₱1.469 million), Lux (₱1.739 million), and XPower (₱2.001 million). The model is built on the Nebula platform, making it a lightweight vehicle that enables 400-volt charging technology with added three-phase AC charging on higher trims. This means it can cover 100 km with just five minutes of charging. The Standard trim is powered by a 51 kWh battery that produces 168 hp and 250 Nm of torque, while the top-spec Lux and XPower carry a larger capacity 64 kWh battery that delivers 201 hp and 250 Nm of torque. Key features include a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment display, automatic emergency braking, cornering brake control, and a reversing camera for higher variants. MG 4 EV Overview
MG Philippines expanded the MG 4 EV model range by introducing the Urban trim at the 2026 Philippine International Motor Show, which is currently the brand’s most affordable fully electric offering in the country. This compact hatchback is designed to offer a comfortable and refined EV experience in the city while also delivering sharp, precise handling on twisty roads out of town. Locally, the MG 4 EV comes in four trims: the all-new Urban, which is priced at ₱1.148 million, Standard, which is priced at ₱1.468 million, Luxury, which is priced at ₱1.738 million, and the high-performance XPower, which is priced at ₱2.000 million. The all-new Urban features four refreshed colour options: Dover White, Aquamarine Metallic, Andes Gray, and Diamond Red. Meanwhile, the other three trims are available in seven colours.

MG 4 EV Interior
The MG 4 EV model line features a minimalist cabin design that looks high-tech and clean at the same time. All trims come with a 7-inch digital instrument panel and a multi-control steering wheel (higher trims: leather, lower trims: urethane). All the trims, except for the Standard variant, also offer a wireless charger for your mobile phone.
For entertainment and information accessibility, the Urban variant features a 12.8-inch touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while the older trims get the 10-inch version. The higher trims offer a 6-speaker sound system, while the lower trims get the 4-speaker counterpart.
In terms of comfort and practicality, this hatchback’s cabin is roomy and can effectively accommodate five passengers. It also comes with a generous trunk space at the back, extending to as much as 1,266 liters (with the rear seats folded) for the Urban trim. This model line’s seats offer decent cushioning and support for everyone on board, whether you are cruising spiritedly on the highway or passing through stop-and-go traffic in the city. For a more exclusive, sporty feel, the XPower trim features sporty seats geared towards performance.
For added convenience, this hatchback also comes with a 12V accessory outlet, front and rear cupholders, as well as three USB ports. Overall, the 4 EV’s cabin is well-rounded by today’s standards.

Design-wise, the older MG 4 EV trims feature an aggressive, hot hatch-like styling, while the new Urban showcases a more subtle, dynamic EV look. Up front, the Urban trim sports automatic projector LED headlamps with a slightly elongated-like shape, while the older trims’ LED headlamps display a sharper figure. All trims get LED DRLs. Underneath, the Urban trim features a blacked-out grille with a honeycomb pattern for a more modern vibe, while the older trims get the vertically-slatted version. All trims, however, also feature side contours on the lower half of their fascia.
Furthermore, this hatchback’s side profile is defined by a blend of sharp character lines and blacked-out elements. The Urban trim’s silhouette looks more uncluttered, while the older trims appear sportier. The higher trims, XPower and Luxury, run on 18-inch wheels, while the Standard trim gets the 17-inch counterpart. Meanwhile, the Urban trim is fitted with 16-inch two-tone alloy wheels for a dynamic look.
At the back, the older 4 EV trims feature arrow-shaped LED tail lamps, which meet in the middle, while the Urban trim flaunts “Union-jack-inspired” tail lamps, giving it a unique hindlook at night. For better visibility, this hatchback also comes with a high-mounted stop lamp and rear fog lamps. And, for a more premium overall appearance, the XPower and Lux trims get twin aero spoilers.In terms of dimensions, the new Urban trim measures 4,395 mm in length, 1,842 mm in width, 1,551 mm in height, and 2,750 mm in wheelbase. On the other hand, the older trims are 4,287 mm long, 1,836 mm wide, 1,504 mm tall, and have a wheelbase of 2,705 mm.

In terms of suspension, all variants of the MG 4 EV come with MacPherson Struts at the front. The Urban trim comes with a Torsion Beam at the rear, while the rest get a Multi-Link. Its setups offer a right mix of comfort and sportiness. This hatchback handles sharp turns and twists with confidence and finesse while remaining supple on bumpy, uneven city roads.

MG 4 EV Engine & Fuel Consumption
All variants of the MG 4 EV, except for the XPower trim, are powered by a single electric motor setup, but with different battery packs, consequently producing maximum power ranging from 120 kW to 150 kW and maximum torque ranging from 184 Nm to 250 Nm. The Luxury trim’s motor is fed by a 64-kWh battery that offers a 435-km WLTP range, while the Standard trim gets the smaller 51-kWh battery that offers a 350-km range.
Meanwhile, the Urban trim’s motor is paired with the smallest 43.2-kWh battery that offers 325-km WLTP range (NEDC: 403 km). Its battery also supports DC quick charging time of 20% to 80% in just 35 minutes.
On the other hand, the high-performance XPower runs on a dual-motor setup paired with a 64-kWh battery, delivering 330 kW of maximum power, 660 Nm of maximum torque, and a WLTP range of up to 400 km.
The XPower variant features an all-wheel drive technology, while all the other trims utilize a front-wheel drivetrain. The Urban trim comes mated to a single-speed automatic transmission system, while the older variants run on electronic transmission.
Regardless of the powertrain and transmission, this hatchback offers instant power and torque wherever it goes. It accelerates quite effortlessly on the highway, overtaking slower vehicles with ease. Additionally, its electronic transmission is smooth and responsive, enhancing the driver’s overall performance on the road.
However, if you desire a more exhilarating driving experience, then the XPower is the right trim for you. But, when it comes to range, the Luxury trim undoubtedly has the upper hand. Overall, the 4 EV’s range is adequate for everyday city driving.

In terms of braking, the XPower trim features front and rear Continental calipers, while all the other variants get discs. The MG 4 EV’s braking setup is supported by an anti-lock braking system with electronic brakeforce distribution, cornering brake control, electronic stability program, traction control, vehicle dynamic control, and hill hold control.
This hatchback comes with a lane keeping assist system, a blind spot indicator system, intelligent headlight control, intelligent speed alert, and a pedestrian warning system. All trims get rear parking sensors and multiple SRS airbags. However, only the Urban, Luxury, and XPower trims are equipped with a reversing camera.
