Bajaj Dominar 400 Design
The Bajaj Dominar 400 features a “lion-inspired stance” that is defined by a mix of sharp contours and blacked-out naked elements. At the front, it sports a confident-looking LED headlamp assembly, a transparent windscreen, and very sturdy aspherical mirrors. Underneath, it comes with a two-tone front fender, which adds more detail to its overall front design.
On the sides, its twin-spar perimeter frame, which is designed to deliver superior handling on the road, is further enhanced by a sporty-looking pair of 17-inch wheels wrapped in tubeless tyres. Additionally, its muscular fuel tank and side fairings blend well with its naked two-tone silhouette.
Meanwhile, it features an aggressive back end, highlighted by its twin barrel exhaust pipes. Its sharp rear is illuminated with modern-looking LED tail lamps, which resemble a butterfly’s wings, as well as conventional-looking signal lights.
Up front, the rider gets a split reverse LCD display with a bright backlight and a gear position indicator. In terms of comfort, its dual-stepped seat provides both the rider and the pillion with great cushioning and support, even on long-distance trips.Aside from that, this sports-touring motorcycle comes with rubber foot pegs and pillion footrests, as well as handlebars, making low-speed traffic filtering more convenient and comfortable for you and your passenger. And, for added convenience, it also offers four built-in bungee straps for your luggage.
In terms of dimensions, the Bajaj Dominar 400 measures 2,156 mm in length, 863 mm in width, 1,243 mm in overall height, and 800 mm in seat height. This sports-touring motorcycle also comes with a 1,453-mm wheelbase and a 157-mm ground clearance.

Bajaj Dominar 400 Ride & Handling
In terms of suspension, the Bajaj Dominar 400 is equipped with USD Telescopic Forks at the front and a Mono Shocker with a gas canister at the rear. This setup contributes to this sports-tourer confident handling through sharp turns and twists in the provincial areas. In the city, it also soaks up bumps and other minor road imperfections quite well, resulting in a supple riding experience for you and your passenger.
Admittedly, its weight is quite noticeable when you are filtering through traffic at low speeds. However, once you get up to speed, it immediately shows you how comfortable it rides on the open road.

Bajaj Dominar 400 Engine & Fuel Consumption
Powering the Bajaj Dominar 400 is a 373.3cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that delivers a maximum power output of 40 PS and a maximum torque output of 35 Nm. This sports-touring motorcycle comes mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. Additionally, the Dominar 400 is also equipped with four riding modes: Rain, Road, Sport, and Off-Road.
This sports-tourer offers plenty of power and torque on tap, making quick overtakes on free-flowing highways easy for the rider. Despite its performance, its power delivery remains manageable even at higher RPMs. Its gearbox is also smooth and responsive, thanks to Bajaj’s specialised slipper clutch feature. It also delivers respectable fuel efficiency for its class.
However, given that it has a single-cylinder engine, vibrations are quite noticeable, especially when cruising spiritedly on the open road. But, considering its price, there is really not much to complain about when it comes to the Dominar 400’s overall performance.
