Bajaj Pulsar N160

Right off the bat, the Bajaj Pulsar N160 does not look like your typical 160cc motorcycle. Its aggressive naked styling reflects a big bike image on the road. It features a robotic-looking fascia flanked by bi-functional LED projector headlamps with Bajaj’s signature naked “Wolf” LED DRLs, delivering top-notch illumination wherever it goes. This naked streetfighter also comes with aspherical mirrors, signal lights, and a front fender underneath.

In terms of feature, this naked streetfighter comes with a digital instrument display and a USB charging port for your mobile phone. The average Filipino rider will not struggle to find a comfortable riding position on this motorcycle, thanks to its low seat height and low-rise naked handlebar. Its split-type seat is also well-cushioned and supportive. Aside from this, the Pulsar N160 is equipped with rubber foot pegs, pillion footrests, and built-in rear grab handles, all of which are designed to make stop-and-go traffic more tolerable for you and your passenger.

Going back to design. Its sharp side profile is complemented by a pair of sporty-looking 17-inch wheels wrapped in tubeless tyres. It features an underbelly exhaust system designed to deliver better balance and enhanced overall handling. Additionally, its sharp fairings add more detail to its overall appearance. Moreover, its sporty rear is illuminated with Bajaj’s “Ruby Crystal Dust” LED tail lamp and another pair of signal lights. It also comes with a rectangular reflector for added safety.

In terms of dimensions, the Bajaj Pulsar N160 measures 1,980 mm in length, 743 mm in width, 1,050 mm in overall height, and 795 mm in seat height. This naked streetfighter also has a wheelbase of 1,348 mm and a ground clearance of 165 mm.

The Bajaj Pulsar N160 is equipped with USD Telescopic Forks at the front and a Mono Shock Absorber at the rear. This naked streetfighter delivers excellent grip and control when passing through sharp turns or twists. In the city, it offers agile maneuverability, even in tight traffic conditions. 

However, one of this motorcycle’s main downsides is its bouncy ride quality due to its stiff suspension. With this in mind, its setup is geared more towards sportiness than comfort. But, at the end of the day, the Pulsar N160 can still deliver a pleasant and pliant riding experience on smooth, wide roads.

Powering the Bajaj Pulsar N160 is a 164.8cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 16 PS of maximum power and 14.7 Nm of maximum torque. This naked streetfighter comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

On the open road, this naked streetfighter can get up to speed effortlessly. According to Bajaj, its engine’s wide torque band offers 85% of peak power, allowing it to deliver exceptional performance for its class. Despite this, the Pulsar N160 remains efficient and refined, proving that it is indeed designed for daily commuting. That said, this naked streetfighter effectively balances exciting high-speed performance with everyday usability.

In terms of safety, the Bajaj Pulsar N160 is equipped with a reflector, an engine check warning, as well as a dual-channel anti-lock braking system, among others. This naked streetfighter utilizes discs for both front and rear braking.
