Benelli TRK 251

The Benelli TRK 251 features a tamed hypernaked bike exterior styling that is not that flashy compared to other more aggressive-looking ADVs but still holds its own ground in terms of ruggedness and sportiness on the road. It has a hypermodern facade courtesy of its bi-lens/twin-projector LED headlights, giving it an ethereal flare at night. Its two-toned body paint is complemented by light-coloured decals and monotone finishes, showcasing a colour contrast with a nice motorsport vibe. 

The TRK 251 boasts practicality and functionality for everyday use. Its split-type seat is very supportive and ensures that the rider can adjust his or her riding posture at all times. It also has a decent storage space and a large luggage rack at the rear. This ADV is very easy to ride on even for passengers below 6 feet. 

In terms of dimensions, the Benelli TRK 251 measures 2,070 mm in length, 840 mm in width, and 1,300 mm in height. It has a 1,390 mm wheelbase and a 170 mm ground clearance. It runs on 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels and Metzeler Sportec tires that are more ideal for on-road cruising than braving the harsh off-road terrain.

In terms of suspension, the Benelli TRK 251 utilizes a combination of a USD fork at the front and a mono-shock-absorber at the rear. For starters, this suspension setup is more road-focused than anything. You won’t be able to run smoothly with this setup on off-road terrains. That said, it is not advisable to pass through deep potholes and large bumps when you are riding this bike. 

But, to compensate for this, its suspension delivers top-notch handling inside the city and on free-flowing highways. With this bike, you can easily maneuver through traffic and narrow city streets since its steering is very nimble. It really excels in comfort within the city. 

The Benelli TRK 251 is powered by a 249 cc 1-cylinder, 4-stroke, 4-valve DOHC engine that has a maximum power output of 25.83 PS (19 kW) and a maximum torque of 21.1 Nm. It runs on a 6-speed manual transmission gearbox. 

For an ADV, its engine is not that adventurous and has a lackluster power delivery especially at high speeds. It doesn’t have that much push to overtake with ease on the highway. However, if you are planning to use this in the city as your daily commuter, then its engine produces just the right amount of power and torque to get you from point A to point B on time. On the bright side, it excels in terms of efficiency. It has good fuel economy thanks to its electronic fuel injection system, proving that it is indeed feasible as a daily bike within the city.

The Benelli TRK 251’s braking setup consists of 280 mm front disc brakes with four-piston calipers and 240 mm rear disc brakes. For safety measures, its braking setup is equipped with a standard dual-channel anti-lock braking system. With this in mind, its braking setup is very responsive and reliable for entry-level ADV standards.

The Benelli TRK 251 might not be built for the off-road as it was advertised, but its capabilities and features make it a truly practical and reliable city cruiser. It would make a strong option for consumers who are searching for an efficient daily bike that carries swag and ruggedness wherever it goes.
