CFMoto 150 NK Review
CFMoto 150 NK Overview
The CF Moto 150 NK is the most affordable model from the Chinese two-wheeler model, which is targeted at those buyers who wish to have an entry-level commuter with a sporty and more premium appeal. The Philippines market gets the CF Moto 150 NK in a single variant, which is being offered in three different paint schemes of royal blue, pearl black, and silver-white.
CFMoto 150 NK Design
For an entry-level sport commuter, the CF Moto 150 NK has got an edgy appeal that people expect from more premium quarter-liter motorcycles. This surely makes it look more premium and edgier than other 150cc commuters, which are priced more than the CF Moto 150 NK.
At the front, the CF Moto 150 NK gets a vertically laid headlamp, which looks quite slim and gets sleek looking cowl surrounding it. The cowl flows downwards to give the front face a pointy bottom end, with the top of the headlamp getting a small black plastic visor. Making the motorcycle look even edgier are the tiny LED turn indicators as well as small front fender.
The CF Moto 150 NK looks quite athletic when viewed from the side, with the long and sharp looking fuel tank with pointy fuel tank extensions and the sleek trellis frame being the most prominent highlights. Adding more sportiness to the side profile of the CF Moto 150 NK are the large engine cowl and pointy tail section, the latter of which rises sharply while accommodating split seats as well as long and sleek looking split pillion grab rails.
Even the five-spoke alloy wheels look quite trendy, however, the stubby end can for the exhaust pipe looks a bit cheap as compared to the rest of the design of the motorcycle. Towards the rear, the CF Moto 150 NK has got a sporty and aggressive design, with a tucked triangular LED tail lamps as well as a long and sleek rear fender.
The instrument console of the CF Moto 150 NK has a trapezoidal housing, which consists of a centrally placed analog tachometer and an offset squared LCD panel at the lower right corner, which shows digital readouts for speedometer, fuel gauge, gear indicator, odometer, trip meter and various other data. The sleek and long handlebar gets good palm grips as well as premium switches on either end, which exude top-notch quality. The rearview mirrors look trendy and go well with the overall aggressive design of the motorcycle.
CFMoto 150 NK Ride & Handling
The CF Moto 150 NK packs in quality mechanical hardware, which consists of s strong trellis frame on which it sits, with the suspension combination comprising of upside-down hydraulic telescopic forks at the front and mid-positioned hydraulic mono-shock at the back. The overall suspension combination of the motorcycle, just like the rest of the design of it, seems sporty while on the go and makes the rider feel agile on the move. The CF Moto 150 NK gets disc brakes at both ends, which do perform accurately too.
CFMoto 150 NK Engine & Fuel Consumption
The engine of the CF Moto 150 NK is a four-stroke, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected 149.4cc unit, which is coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine puts up 11.9 PS of maximum power output and 10.7 Nm of peak torque output. The engine welcomes you with a good throaty exhaust note, however, the performance outputs are a bit weak for a 150cc engine and are in that territory of a 125cc engine, making it seem much less powerful than the rest of the competition.
CFMoto 150 NK Braking & Safety
For an entry-level motorcycle, the CF Moto 150 NK misses out on many sophisticated electronics but gets basic safety features with disc brakes at both the ends and an engine kill switch at the place.
CFMoto 150 NK Verdict
The CF Moto 150 NK, with its sporty styling and premium hardware, creates a very strong first impression as a sporty motorcycle, which somehow dilutes a bit with the limited amount of power on tap. However, for those who want an aggressive-looking motorcycle with a subtle and usable amount of power for daily urban duties, the CF Moto 150 NK is quite a sweet deal to go for.
