CFMoto 300SR Review
CFMoto 300SR Overview
The CF Moto 300 SR is an entry-level fully-faired supersport motorcycle, which is based on the most affordable fully-faired motorcycle from the Chinese two-wheeler maker, the CF Moto 250 SR, and packs in a slightly bigger and more powerful engine over the latter. The CF Moto 300 SR is being offered in the Philippines in choice of two different color options of black and blue for the sole variant in which it has been made available.
CFMoto 300SR Design
The CF Moto 300 SR looks exactly the same as the smaller fully-faired motorcycle on which it is actually based, the 250 SR. Having said that, the CF Moto 300 SR gets a super aggressive fully faired design, which makes the motorcycle look quite bigger than what it actually is and gives a racy and aggressive stance to it.
At the front, the CF Moto 300 SR welcomes one with its well-sculpted front fairing, which accommodates the slightly tucked in slim dual LED headlamps. There is a long Y-shaped panel which differentiates the two headlamp units and extends all the way till the transparent visor placed at the top. This Y-shaped panel also has mounts for the fairing-mounted rearview mirrors. There is a curved styled panel which is placed between the frontal part of the fairing as well as the side portion of the fairing and acts here as an adjoining part between them.
The side fairing of the CF Moto 300 SR looks massive and bulbous for a motorcycle of this size, with its upper layer executed in faux carbon fibre theme and the lower part getting big and bold body decals. The fuel tank, with its curved design as well as tapering down stance towards the front, makes up for sporty riding posture with comfortable knee recesses for even taller riders.
The sleek side body cowls flow all the way from the front edge of the side fairing and effortlessly blend in the stubby tailpiece at the back, and partially hide the trellis frame of the motorcycle in the midway. The small and sharply rising tailpiece at the back looks quite wide and has the pillion perch placed quite highly on it, the height and width of which might feel small and uncomfortable for some. At the back of the tailpiece sits a wide LED tail lamp with diamond-shaped LED inserts and a long rear fender, which provides mounts for the LED turn indicators and number plate holder.
The cockpit of the CF Moto 300 SR looks purposeful and modern with clip-on adjustable handlebars as well as a full TFT colored rectangular instrument console, which has multiple display modes to choose from. It has digital readouts for speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, temperature gauge, odometer, trip meters, gear indicator, MID, clock and even phone connectivity options.
CFMoto 300SR Ride & Handling
The fully-faired design, with rear-set footpegs and low, positioned clip-on handlebars, make the riding posture of the CF Moto 300 SR too sporty and might not be too comfortable for longer duration in urban riding setup. Even the small pillion seat isn’t too comfortable either. However, this overall riding setup instils an involving feel in the rider, and the stiff suspension setup for inverted 37mm hydraulic front forks and adjustable mono-shock at the rear makes the riding experience even sportier. The CF Moto 300 SR has been fitted with disc brakes at both the ends and shares its 17-inch wheels and tires with the smaller 250 SR.
CFMoto 300SR Engine & Fuel Consumption
The four-stroke, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, 292cc engine of the CF Moto 300 SR is actually a bored-out version of the 250cc engine of the smaller 250 SR. Naturally, this engine pumps put better performance numbers, with the maximum power and torque outputs topping at 29.2 PS and 25.3 Nm respectively. The engine is coupled to a 6-speed gearbox here on the CF Moto 300 SR.
CFMoto 300SR Braking & Safety
The CF Moto 300 SR is one of the most technologically advanced motorcycles in the category of entry-level bikes, with the motorcycle getting a dual-channel ABS setup and three different ride modes to choose from.
CFMoto 300SR Verdict
The sporty big bike like stance and bodywork of the CF Moto 300 SR not only gives it a strong road presence and visual appeal but also makes way for a sporty riding experience with focused ergonomics. The long list of features onboard and punchy engine only make the deal even sweeter.
