The Indian Chieftain Limited’s design strikes a balance between sportiness and sophistication. At the front, it flaunts the brand’s iconic batwing (fork-mounted) fairing, complemented by a confident-looking LED headlamp with round LED turn signals. Like its cousins, it comes with a transparent windscreen, which can be adjusted depending on your preference. At the back, it also gets an LED tail lamp with another pair of turn signals.

Unlike the Chieftain Dark Horse, which gets blacked-out mechanical parts, the Limited version features clean chrome finishes for more contrast. Its engine is finished in titanium and black. It also exudes a high-performance character through its split exhaust system with a resonator. Meanwhile, individuals who value practicality would be delighted to know that this bagger comes with a remote-locking hard saddlebag on each side, offering over 68 liters of storage. 

Exclusive to the rider is a fairing-mounted instrument cluster that features an analog speedometer and tachometer with fuel gauge, odometer, current gear, and 15 LED telltale indicators. For entertainment and advanced information accessibility, this bagger also comes with a 7-inch touch display powered by Indian’s RIDE COMMAND, which is installed with GPS navigation, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth connectivity, configurable gauges, ride stats, and is connected to two 50-W fairing speakers (100 watts in total).

In terms of comfort, its 2-Up ‘Gunfighter Style’ seat offers top-notch cushioning and ergonomics for both the rider and the pillion even on long-distance trips. Passenger pegs are also placed on each side for your pillion.

The Indian Chieftain Limited measures 2,503 mm in length, 1,066 mm in width, 1,237 mm in overall height, and 672 mm in seat height. It also comes with a wheelbase of 1,668 mm, a ground clearance of 137 mm, and runs on 10-spoke machined cast wheels (front: 19-inch, rear: 16-inch) wrapped in Metzeler Cruisetec tyres.

In terms of suspension, the Indian Chieftain Limited is equipped with a 130-mm Inverted Telescopic Fork at the front and a 114-mm Single Shock Absorber with hydraulic preload adjustment at the rear. This setup allows this bagger to confidently take on sharp winding roads even at high speeds. This bagger also delivers impressive grip and absorption of light to moderate bumps and other road imperfections. 

However, its weight and bulky frame can make it difficult for less-experienced riders to filter through tight traffic and narrow parking spaces. But, overall, the Chieftain Limited can still deliver a smooth, stable, and very comfortable riding experience on the highway and wide city roads.

The Indian Chieftain Limited is powered by a 1,834-cc, liquid-cooled PowerPlus 112 engine that boasts an impressive power output of 122 hp and a torque output of 181.4 Nm. This bagger comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

With this in mind, it runs with immense power and emotion out on the open road. It delivers a magnificent roar as you go up the rev range. Performing quick overtakes on the expressway wouldn’t be a challenge for this high-performance tourer. For a more personalized cruising experience, the Chieftain Limited is also equipped with three selectable ride modes: Standard, Sport, and Rain.

Safety is one of the main assets of the Indian Chieftain Limited. It features several rider assist features such as blind spot warning, rear collision warning lights, electronically linked brakes, tailgate warning, and bike hold control. It is also equipped with ABS and cruise control. This bagger utilizes dual semi-floating rotors with Brembo calipers for front braking and a single floating rotor for the rear.
