Suzuki GSX-8TT Overview
The Suzuki GSX-8TT is one of the two new middleweight, neo-retro roadsters that the Japanese brand introduced last year to expand its range within the country’s highly-competitive bike market. Built on Suzuki’s 800 platform, this roadster combines cutting-edge technology and electronic rider aids with a smooth and peppy performance out on the open road. Its sporty vintage design was inspired by the 1980 GS1000 AMA race bike, exuding immense confidence wherever it goes. Yet, it remains refined and comfortable even on long-distance trips out of town. The Suzuki GSX-8TT is available in two colours: Pearl Matte Shadow Green and Glass Sparkle Black. This roadster comes in a single variant priced at ₱729,000.

Suzuki GSX-8TT Design
The Suzuki GSX-8TT’s exterior design beautifully blends modern features with retro finishes that honor its predecessors. At the front, it features a headlight cowl, which makes it look a bit sportier than its single T counterpart (GSX-8T). It flaunts a classic-looking flare courtesy of its flat-bottom mono-round headlight.
Furthermore, its naked bike-like silhouette looks aggressive yet classy at the same time. It comes with a blacked-out under cowl, engine side covers, as well as a stainless steel muffler cover, which effectively adds more depth to its overall appearance. It runs on a pair of 17-inch wheels with bright-coloured mags. Meanwhile, its sporty personality carries over to its rear. It is given a sleek LED taillight and modern-looking indicator lights.
For an immersive riding experience, this roadster comes with a 5-inch color TFT LCD multifunction instrument panel that keeps the rider fully aware of the bike’s advanced features at all times. It also comes with a specially designed seat that offers both the rider and pillion impressive cushioning and support even on long-distance rides. And, on top of this, it comes with a fast-charging USB Type-C socket for an added layer of functionality and convenience on the road.
In terms of dimensions, the Suzuki GSX-8TT measures 2,115 mm in length, 775 mm in width, 1,160 mm in overall height, and 810 mm in seat height. It has a wheelbase of 1,465 mm and a ground clearance of 145 mm.

Suzuki GSX-8TT Ride & Handling
In terms of suspension, the Suzuki GSX-8TT utilizes an oil-damped combination of a front Inverted Telescopic Fork and a rear Link Type. This setup also comes with Coil Springs both at the front and rear. This suspension setup allows this bike to deliver impressive touring comfort, which you wouldn’t usually expect from a typical neo-retro roadster. It handles winding roads and twisties with precision even at high speeds.
However, its extra weight might compromise its maneuverability in the city for riders under 6ft. But, on the plus side, the combination of its well-tuned suspension setup and supportive saddle can offer a relaxing cruising experience for both the rider and the pillion even on longer rides.

Suzuki GSX-8TT Engine & Fuel Consumption
The Suzuki GSX-8TT is powered by a 776-cc, 4-stroke, 2-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that produces a maximum power output of 81 hp and a maximum torque of 77 Nm. Its engine is mated to a 6-speed constant mesh (manual) transmission gearbox.
On the open road, its engine generates a satisfying roar and a peppy, linear power delivery, allowing riders to overtake slower vehicles with ease. Thanks to its equipment of Suzuki’s Clutch Assist System, you will also be able to enjoy smoother downshifts when cruising at high speeds on free-flowing highways. And, on top of this, its Low RPM Assist enhances the rider’s overall performance and comfort level when passing through tight city traffic at low speeds.
Overall, the GSX-8TT is a reliable daily ride for your commute within the Metro and a very enjoyable weekend cruiser for your out-of-town or leisure trips.

Suzuki GSX-8TT Braking & Safety
In terms of safety, the Suzuki GSX-8TT comes with a suite of the brand’s advanced electronic rider aids. This includes multiple riding modes, a traction control system, a bi-directional quick shift system, and an anti-lock braking system, which supports its braking setup. It utilizes twin discs for front braking, while a single disc for the rear.

Suzuki GSX-8TT Verdict
If you are in the market to buy a premium neo-retro bike, then the Suzuki GSX-8TT definitely deserves a spot in your list. It has the performance to back up its sporty-looking vintage appearance and, at the same time, advanced features that would make you stand out on the road.
