2024 US-market Subaru Impreza to debut at LA Auto Show

The United States (US) arm of Subaru announced recently that it will debut the 2024 Impreza at the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show which will run from November 19 to 28. A special livestream with reportedly be co-hosted by Bucky Lasek (a professional skateboarder and rallycross driver) and his daughter, Paris Lasek.

A teaser photo was also revealed by the Shibuya-based automotive company. Although not much was shown, the image confirmed that the 2024 model year Subaru Impreza will come in a hatchback body style. In the US, the 2023 Subaru Impreza is offered in both hatchback and sedan.

All seven trims of the outgoing model are powered by the brand’s 2.0-liter Boxer engine that puts out 152 horsepower (hp) and about 196Nm of torque. The powerplant can either be mated to a five-speed manual gearbox or a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

Given today’s powertrain trend, there’s a chance the 2024 Subaru Impreza could be offered with either a hybrid system or a full-electric setup. Subaru debuted the Solterra last year, so there’s a chance that it could borrow a similar system to the marque’s all-electric sport utility vehicle (SUV).

In the Philippines, Subaru has discontinued the Impreza nameplate, although car buyers looking to own the model can still find a few of these cars in the second-hand car market. Check out our collection of used Subaru Impreza units, here.
