Bajaj PH introduces first-ever electric offering

MANILA: Bajaj Philippines released its first electric three-wheeler in the country in the form of the Wego P5009.

According to the local arm of the Indian motorcycle company (under the wing of Trimotors Technology Corporation), the Bajaj Wego is a vehicle that can deliver practical performance and convenience—all while allowing owners to enjoy savings with every trip. 

To better understand what the newest model has to offer, Bajaj Philippines highlighted five features that make it ideal for business and government unit use.

Bajaj Wego 5 key features

212 km of emissions-free driving

The Bajaj Wego is capable of driving up to 212 kilometers (km) on a single charge. With such range, the company noted that owners can travel farther and enjoy more freedom for their daily journeys. 

Smart driving modes

The Bajaj Wego comes with four driving modes, namely Eco, Power, Climb, and Park Assist.

Per the brand, the aforementioned modes provide would-be owners the flexibility for different driving needs. 

Electric powertrain

Power for the Bajaj Wego comes from a 9.2 kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery and a 4.5 kilowatt motor.

According to Bajaj Philippines, its electric powertrain is built for reliable everyday performance, giving drivers the power they need for their daily routes. 

4.5 hours to charge

The Bajaj Wego takes only 4.5 hours to get fully charged. On that note, it can efficiently juice up and get ready for the next journey.

Better savings

With an efficient powertrain and decent range, Bajaj Philippines shared that the electric three-wheeler can run for approximately P0.80 per kilometer. That is, considering factors such as its 9.2 kWh battery, 212 km range, and an electricity rate of P15. 

Price

The Bajaj Wego is priced at P329,888.

For the first 100 customers, Bajaj Philippines will include a free charging kit in each purchase.
