BMW M4 GT4 now on sale, priced at €187K

BMW has announced that the track-oriented M4 GT4 is now on sale. It is priced at €187,000 and will enter its production phase in October.

Like its predecessors, the new BMW M4 GT4 was designed and engineered to win races. It features a 3.0-liter engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology mated to a seven-speed automatic gearbox. This setup, according to BMW, makes as much as 550 horses with 650Nm of torque.

The race-ready BMW M4 GT4 offers no shortage of performance-oriented features like a Drexler limited-slip differential with separate temperature-controlled auxiliary cooling and motorsport-optimized driveshafts as well as purpose-built KW 2-way Motorsport shock absorbers with three different H&R spring rates, front camber adjustable with shims, rear toe and camber adjustable with shims, and double-flow brake air cooling.

It exudes power with exterior features such as its lightweight natural fiber engine bonnet with aerodynamically-designed louvers by Bcomp and GT3 lightweight roof.

A need for speed is felt as owners enter the cockpit as the M4 GT4 boasts a Fanatec GT4 illuminated steering wheel (with various controls); purpose-built Recaro safety seat with ventilation, fixed position, and BMW M4 GT4 badge; and five-level adjustable motorsport anti-roll bar, front and rear.

Thanks to near-production development and the pending SRO homologation, BMW said that the car can be used in all GT4 race series around the world.
