BMW Motorrad premieres police two-wheelers at Milipol Paris

BMW Motorrad has premiered a police version of the automotive brand’s environmentally friendly electric scooter, the BMW CE 04, at Milipol Paris 2021.

The police-spec e-scooter offers a future-oriented, sustainable e-mobility for the city and urban areas. According to BMW Motorrad, the police version of the CE 04 will be equipped with automatic stability control (ASC) and dynamic traction control (DTC).

It will also feature a directionally stable suspension and chassis with a single-unit tubular steel mainframe, three riding modes (Eco, Rain, and Road), a “Dynamic” riding mode for an even sportier riding style, a 10.25-inch TFT color screen with integrated map navigation, and ABS with banking-enabled ABS.

As an optional add-on, authorities will also be able to attach front LED flashing lights, rear LED beacon lights, panniers, a siren, and additional switches for controlling the light and sound signal components.

The police versions of the BMW CE 04 will still retain the scooter’s 41hp motor that peaks at 120kph. It will also be fitted with the standard 60.6Ah (8.9kWh) battery cell — the same battery cells used by the BMW iX — that offers an estimated range of some 130km.

BMW Motorrad also showcased the official police version of the BMW F 900 XR at Milipol Paris 2021.

Both two-wheeled police vehicles will be built at the BMW Motorrad plant in Berlin and will join BMW’s range of police motorcycles such as the R 1250 RT, F 750 GS, and F 850 GS.

BMW Motorrad’s range of police-spec motorcycles can be fitted with a host of optional accessories and optional equipment ex-works, specially tailored to the needs of authorities and institutions who will use them.

The ongoing Milipol Paris 2021 is scheduled to run from October 19 to 22, 2021 at the Paris-Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre.
