Foodpanda logistics holds 9-day celebration to reward delivery partners

Foodpanda logistics Philippines conducted a nine-day celebration to honor its delivery partners.

In a statement, the company said that the series of activities and rewards created for the delivery partners — including a P9-per-liter fuel price slash at Seaoil stations around the country.

Foodpanda Logistics Philippines Operations Manager Ruben Mariano said that the company is bannering the celebration’s fuel-price-discount thrust as gasoline is considered one of the delivery partners’ main expenses. “We wanted to recognize the efforts of one of our largest stakeholders, our Ka-pandas,” Mariano said.

To note, Foodpanda Logistics forged partnerships with several fuel providers — offering exclusive discounts to delivery partners and assisting them in enrolling in the fuel subsidy program of the national government.

Aside from the fuel-price cut, Foodpanda Logistics also offered the Double Bamboo Rewards during its nine-day celebration.

With the aforementioned initiative, delivery partners earned double the points in the Bamboo Rewards. The incentives program allows them to redeem various items such as vouchers, merchandise, electronics, vehicle accessories, among others. “For the nine-day special celebration, Ka-pandas also got to exchange their Bamboos and convert them to cash,” Mariano added.

Further, the Foodpanda delivery partners were also given the opportunity to join a nationwide raffle with prizes ranging from smartphones, e-bikes, and motorcycles.

“We believe that these items will help them in their daily livelihood. But all year round, we have partnerships with leading motorcycle dealers nationwide to provide accessible and flexible motorcycle loan options as well as exclusive deals on equipment and accessories for their vehicles,” Mariano explained.

Moreover, Foodpanda also gave the delivery partners an additional P9 for every tip made on the app. Earlier this year, Foodpanda launched the double tip campaign wherein delivery partners earned twice the amount of tips given by customers through the Foodpanda app.

 To help them boost their income stream, Foodpanda delivery partners received special incentives based on accomplished tasks.

Mariano mentioned that the incentives are aimed at helping delivery partners especially during these times when prices of basic commodities are on the rise. “We have been investing in incentives they can get from accomplishing particular milestones or ‘quests, and by ramping it up during this special occasion, we can be of greater assistance to them,” he shared.

Lastly, Mariano said that the nine-day program is their way of expressing gratitude for the hard work and dedication of Foodpanda delivery riders. “Our Ka-pandas deserve to be celebrated because they are the heroes who deliver our food and groceries every day. They play a vital role in the online food delivery ecosystem.”

Relatedly, Foodpanda Logistics recently visited the areas of Pampanga and Bulacan for its Panda Patrol Hub roadshow, where Ka-pandas can experience games and activities, learn more about the support and assistance afforded to them, and provide a support hub for their concerns.

“It’s important that we personally hear what our delivery partners have to say and get to see them face to face. This way, we can address their concerns on the spot and make them feel that we truly value the Ka-panda community,” Mariano shared.

The roving bus is set to visit more cities and provinces in Luzon this July, and areas in Visayas and Mindanao in the coming months.
