Geely E5 compact SUV presented in China

Geely Auto has recently presented the E5 compact sport utility vehicle (SUV) in China.

According to Geely, the E5 electric vehicle is developed for the global market. Therefore, the Hangzhou-headquartered brand has tested, designed, and completed both left- and right-hand drive versions of the nameplate.

The company highlighted that its research and development teams around the globe used their understanding of their respective markets to make the E5 compact SUV comply with global standards and satisfy the regulatory requirements of some 86 countries.

Built on the Geely Electronic Architecture platform, the E5 electric compact SUV is designed to suit the tastes of car buyers worldwide by adopting a minimalist design.

In addition, the Geely E5 is equipped with “self-developed” features, such as an intelligent electric drive system, the Geely “short blade battery,” and cell-to-battery technology (which integrates the battery cells directly into the car’s structure rather than housing them in a conventional battery pack).

The Geely E5 compact SUV will soon make its global debut with the carmaker possibly sharing more detailed specifications when it happens.
