Geely sells 1.4-M units in 2022

Geely announced that the company sold a total of 1,432,988 units globally in 2022, which translates to an eight-percent increase compared to the Chinese automotive brand’s sales in 2021.

Out of the 1,432,988 vehicles Geely sold last year, about 14,017 of which were from its sales in December 2022.

Next year, the firm intends to sell 1.65 million cars.

Further, the Hangzhou-headquartered carmaker revealed that it sold 328,727 units of new-energy vehicles in 2022.

Geely believes that the boost in new-energy vehicle sales were helped by the brand’s implementation of the “Intelligent Geely 2025” strategy and its “new four” transformation plan, which involved ongoing investments and thorough planning in the electrification and “intelligentization” fields, doubled the rate of new-energy vehicles.

Additionally, Geely said that its sub-brand Geometry saw an increase of more than 35 percent in sales in December 2022. Geometry's overall sales for the past year totaled 149,389 units.

Leishen Power, the intelligent hybrid system developed by Geely, also saw continued improvements in 2022. Thanks to its groundbreaking technologies, Geely believes that Leishen Power has become the leader of the new era of hybridization.

On that note, hybrid technology will become a new growth point for Geely Auto sales in 2023.
