Harley-Davidson has recently introduced the 2022 Nightster, which “redefines the Sportster motorcycle experience for a new generation of riders.”

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • What powers the all-new Harley-Davidson Nightster?

It is the new Revolution Max 975T powertrain.
  • What is the maximum output of the Revolution Max 975T?

It can deliver up to 90hp and 95Nm of torque.
  • Harley-Davidson Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Jochen Zeitz said that the Nightster is an instrument of expression and exploration, underpinned by performance.”

“By building on the 65-year Sportster legacy, the Nightster provides a canvas for creativity and personalization, offering the ultimate platform for customization and expression for new and existing riders,” he added.

Powering the 2022 Harley-Davidson Nightster is the new Revolution Max 975T powertrain — a liquid-cooled, 60-degree V-Twin with a torque curve that stays flat through the broad powerband. The power mill can deliver as much as 90 horses and 95Nm of torque.

The motorcycle is fitted with internal balancers to reduce engine vibration, thereby  enhancing rider comfort and improving vehicle durability. The balancers, Harley-Davidson explained, are tuned to provide enough vibration “to make the motorcycle feel alive.”

The 2022 Harley-Davidson Nightster features mid foot controls and a low-rise handlebar that gives the rider a centered, comfortable posture while on the bike. The low seat height (unladen seat height is 27.8 inches) combined with a narrow profile makes it possible for most riders to confidently place feet down flat at a stop.

Further, the vehicle comes with a 41mm Showa front forks and dual rear shock absorbers.

Aside from that, the 2022 Harley-Davidson Nightster is fitted with rider safety enhancements such as antilock braking system (ABS), traction control system (TCS) and drag-torque slip control system (DSCS).

Riders can choose from the selectable ride modes that can be engaged with the use of the “Mode” button at the right-hand controller of the motorcycle. They are the following:

    • Road Mode: provides less-aggressive throttle response and less mid-range engine power than Sport Mode, with a higher level of ABS and TCS intervention.
    • Sport Mode: delivers the full performance potential of the motorcycle in a direct and precise manner, TCS is set to its lowest level of intervention, and engine braking is increased.
    • Rain Mode: gives restricted throttle response and power output and the highest levels of ABS and TCS intervention are selected.
