'Tech-heavy' Honda PCX160 now in PH

MANILA: The latest version of the Honda PCX160 is now in the Philippines.

According to Honda Philippines Incorporated (HPI), its newest offering boasts updated looks, new technologies and enhanced comfort.

Here’s what the all-new Honda PCX160 is offering its customers.

The latest offering from HPI measures:

Among the distinguishing portions of the all-new Honda PCX160 compared to its predecessor are:

• Newly-designed head- and taillight housings
• New handlebar cover
• Passing light switch
• New five-inch thin film transistor meter panel
• New multi-function switch
• RoadSync program (Honda technology that that allows riders to operate mobile device functions through voice commands and handlebar switch

It also has numerous creature comforts that come in the form of:

• USB Type-C charger
• New rear suspension with sub-tank (for top-of-the-line option)
• Smart key system
• 30-liter underseat compartment
• Cast wheels (14-inch for the front and 13-inch for the rear) wrapped in tubeless tires

Powertrain

Providing power for the all-new Honda PCX160 is a four-stroke, four-valve, single overhead cam, liquid-cooled, gasoline-fed engine with eSP+ (Enhanced Smart Power plus) system.

The said mill has the capacity to deliver the following:

Maximum output (in horsepower)	15.8
Peak torque (in Newton-meters)	14.7

Such a powertrain can also do 46 kilometers per liter (based on World Motorcycle Test standards).

Riding controllability and stability is assured by the motorcycle’s suspension system made up of telescopic (front) and twin shocks (back) as well as hydraulic disc brakes
