    Style

On the other hand, the Honda ADV 160 offers a more imposing character. It leans towards a more adventurous type of riding as reflected in its sharp lines and aggressive angles. Its enhanced all-LED headlights and turn signals make it stand out in almost all riding conditions. In addition, it has a higher windscreen and a lower seat height, which aids riders in various riding situations.

    Specifications

Both the Honda PCX 160 and the Honda ADV 160 run on a 157 cubic capacity (cc) engine. The liquid-cooled motor offers decent power that’s more than enough to take owners anywhere, from daily commuting on weekdays and leisure trips on weekends.

The engine on both scoots is also fuel efficient. The Honda PCX 160 clocks in at 45.1 kilometers per liter (kpl) while the Honda ADV 160 registers at 45.0kpl, based on World Motorcycle Test Cycle (WMTC) Test Methods.

    Safety and security

The Honda PCX 160 and the Honda ADV 160 pack a respectable amount of safety features like the Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), an advanced feature that prevents the slipping of the rear tires, especially on wet and slippery roads.

Both scooters also have wavy disk brakes with an anti-lock braking system (ABS) to prevent wheel locking and increase stability in case of sudden braking.

Other innovations featured on both the Honda PCX 160 and the Honda ADV 160 include an anti-theft security alarm, the Honda Smart Key System with an answer-back feature, and the Idling Stop System (ISS), which reduces fuel consumption by automatically switching the engine off at traffic lights and other brief stops, reducing wasteful fuel usage.

The Honda PCX 160 ABS variant comes in two premium colors, namely Asteroid Black Metallic and Pearl Fadeless White. It is priced at P151,900. The CBS variant, on the other hand, costs P133,900.

Meanwhile, the Honda ADV 160 is available in three colors: Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic, Matte Solar Red Metallic, and Matte Pearl Crater White. It has a sticker price of P164,900.
