The aforementioned models expanded Honda’s current sustainably-oriented offerings to three.

    Honda EM1 e: specs

The Honda EM1 e: has a seat height of 740 millimeters (mm) and a ground clearance of 135 mm — a size HPI stated would be ideal for Filipino riders. Its wheelbase is 1,300 mm, which results in a smoother ride experience.

Powering the Honda EM1 e: is a brushless, in-wheel, three-phase motor that makes some 2.2 horsepower and 90 Newton-meters of torque. It consumes about 47 watt-hours per kilometer.

According to HPI, the Honda EM1 e:’s electric powertrain provides would-be owners benefits such as reduced emissions, reduced noise pollution, and less vibration.

Riders can choose between two drive modes, which are “Standard” and “Econ.” The former offers around 41.3 kilometers (km) of all-electric range while the latter extends it further with approximately 48 km on a single charge.

The abovementioned numbers — HPI clarified — are based on Honda’s internal test conditions.

Energy comes from the brand’s Honda Mobile Power Pack e: battery unit. It is made with lithium-ion and has a capacity of 26.1 amperes with power of 50.26 volts (V).

To recharge the battery, EM1 e: owners will have to use the Honda Power Pack Charger e:, which has a rated charging voltage of 58 V, a rated charging power of 270 watts, and a rated charging current of 6.75 Ah.

In addition, the Honda EM1 e: comes out of the factory with a utility box frame as standard. Owners, on that note, would no longer need to source third-party frames should they look to add a storage box to their electric scooter.
