Hyundai celebrates double wins in WTCR 2022 with special exhibition
Hyundai Motor Company (HMC) is hosting special exhibition and employee events in celebration of the double victories in the World Touring Car Cup (WTCR) 2022.

The event showcased the Elantra N TCR and the company's 10 years in the field of motorsport, as well as fan meet with World Touring Car Cup champions.Per HMC, the two-week celebratory occasions held at its headquarters through today (February 10) was for the company’s wins at the racing series courtesy of Mikel Azcona in the Driver’s Championship with the Elantra N TCR and the BRC Hyundai N Squadra Corse team’s victory in the Team Championship that Azcona and Norbert Michelisz had.
The Elantra N TCR (the WTCR-winning car of the 2022 season), and Elantra N, the mass-production model (sold as Avante N in some markets), were on display in the exhibition hall together with the trophies the company won in the racing event. Aside from that, a commemorative display celebrating Hyundai Motorsport’s 10 years of achievements and history along with N Collection products can also be seen.
To promote its high-performance N brand, Hyundai is also holding a fan meeting with WTCR 2022 season champion driver Azcona and previous WTCR champions, including Michelisz (2019 Champion), Gabriele Tarquini (2018 Champion), Andrea Cisotti (Hyundai Motorsport GmbH Customer Racing Manager) and Gabriele Rizzo (BRC Team Manager), to share behind-the-scenes stories and answer fan questions.
“We have planned a series of events to share Hyundai Motorsport’s achievements with all employees,” Vice President of N Brand Management and Motorsport sub-division at HMC Till Wartenberg was quoted as saying.
“We want these events to spark passion and share the winning spirit and pride of Hyundai Motorsport’s activities and the N brand. Hyundai Motor Company will continue to compete in global motorsport with the high-performance DNA of the N brand.”
