Hyundai names Hyundai PH as 2016 Global Distributor of the Year

Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), the authorized distributor of Hyundai vehicles in the Philippines, was recently named by the Hyundai Motor Company (HMC) as its Global Distributor of the Year 2016 during the Korean carmaker's Global Distributors Convention held at the Grand Intercontinental Hotel in Seoul. This is the second time HARI has won the prestigious award, with the first happening in 2010, proving that HARI is indeed a world-class automotive firm.

"We celebrate 50 years of our brand, 50 years of redefining mobility through customer-driven innovation, 50 years of caring for Man and Planet," said HARI President and CEO Ma. Fe Perez-Agudo as she accepted the award. "Cheers to 50 years more of our brilliant journey together!" The year 2017 marks HMC's 50th anniversary following its establishment in 1967. Being named as the top Hyundai distributor in the world for 2016 follows in the heels of HARI's impressive first-quarter sales performance for 2017 as it ended March 2017 with record sales of 3,371 units--the highest in the company's 15-year history to close the first quarter with 8,841 sales, an 18 percent increase compared to the same period for 2016. In her acceptance speech, Perez-Agudo added that this latest accolade challenges HARI and its nationwide dealership fortress to further explore opportunities opened up by the ASEAN integration. "We are ready to bring new business and economic value… to take our partnership with Hyundai Motor Company to greater heights… to strengthen Hyundai brand presence in the ASEAN," Perez-Agudo exclaimed.
