Kanazawa to lead Nissan PH starting Apr. 1

MANILA: Nissan Philippines will have a new President in the form of Yoshinori Kanazawa, who will take the position on April 1.

At the time of writing, Kanazawa serves as Managing Director of the Nissan Importers Business Unit in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region. He is also the Managing Director of Nissan Singapore International. 

In his current role, he oversees the company’s importer business operations across Southeast Asia and works closely with regional partners to support market development across the ASEAN region.

Now based in Thailand, he will move to the Philippines once the shift in leadership takes place.

Kanazawa brings nearly two decades of company experience to the table, holding key leadership roles in Japan, China, and other international markets.

His previous tasks include corporate planning, product planning, and dealer network development. Notably, he also held senior positions within Nissan China and its joint ventures and contributed to the company’s strategic planning and dealer network expansion there.

Up the ranks

Kanazawa will succeed outgoing Nissan Philippines President Masao Tsutsumi, who has been promoted to President of Nissan ASEAN and Thailand.

During his tenure as President of Nissan Philippines, Tsutsumi led initiatives that strengthened the company’s market presence and sustained brand momentum. He also worked closely with the organization and dealer partners to reinforce the company’s network and enhance Nissan’s customer experience.

“Kanazawa's official inauguration will proceed following his qualification under Philippine laws and confirmation and election by the Nissan Philippines Board of Directors,” the Japanese carmaker’s local subsidiary wrote.
