Lexus LC 500 To Be Featured In Black Panther Film

Many movies in the industry prove that automotive and motion picture is one recipe for success, like the Fast and Furious films for example. It’s also a hit when comic books come to the big screen, and a prominent name in this line is Marvel. Just imagine if cars, comic books, and films combine for a campaign.

Well, that’s exactly what Lexus had announced. For those who love cars and Marvel films, we have some good news for you. It seems Marvel will take one of their movies for a different spin because Lexus had confirmed that they will work together with them for their upcoming Black Panther film.

What exactly does the collaboration entail? Well, according to Lexus, they will be working with Marvel to pair one of their cars with the film’s character, Black Panther. Specifically, the car to be featured is none other than the 2018 Lexus LC 500 coupe, which, according to Brian Bolain, the general manager of Lexus’ marketing, is a “perfect fit” for the features of the Marvel character.  

“Marvel continuously captures audiences through charismatic characters and inspiring stories — the ideal fit for Lexus’ mission to craft amazing, engaging experiences. And the LC’s aggressive styling, high performance and agile handling are a perfect fit for the Black Panther’s quick, cat-like reflexes and superhuman feats. We’re excited to see the duo in action.”

But wait! The partnership will not only cover the cinematic universe, but it will also span across the artistic side of the industry.

In Lexus’ announcement, they had confirmed that their collaboration with Marvel Custom Solutions will also bear fruit to a new graphic novel that will feature the vehicle with a “Wakandan spin”. More than that, six variant covers for the graphic novel will be presented on July 21 in an invite-only party at San Diego Comic-Con.

For those excited, it seems you will have to wait for a while, since the film is set to come out on February 16, 2018 in the US.
