Mitsubishi shares H1, June figures

Mitsubishi Motors has shared its production, sales, and export figures both for the first half of 2022 and for the month of June.

Based on the data provided by the Japanese carmaker, it has experienced its first year-on-year decrease in two years since the first half of the 2020 calendar year in terms of domestic, overseas, and total production.

Meanwhile, the company’s domestic sales had its first consecutive year-on-year increase since the first half of the 2021 calendar year.

On the other hand, Mitsubishi’s export figures for the first half of 2022 had its third consecutive year-on-year decrease since the first half of the 2019 calendar year.

Looking at Mitsubishi’s June 2022 numbers, the company had a total number of 35,036 units produced domestically. This gave Mitsubishi its first consecutive monthly year-on-year increase since May 2022 in terms of domestic production.

In terms of overseas production, the three diamond car brand had a total of 47,718 units produced. These include 2,559 units from China, 23,376 units from Thailand, and 12,136 units from Indonesia, with the rest coming from different markets where Mitsubishi has an established factory.

The abovementioned numbers contributed to Mitsubishi having its first monthly year-on-year increase in four months since February 2022.

When it comes to the firm’s total production for June, Mitsubishi achieved a combined sum of 82,754 units. This gives the company its first monthly year-on-year increase in four months since February of this year.

Sales in Japan for June 2022 totaled 7,837 units. It’s Mitsubishi’s first consecutive monthly year-on-year increase since May of 2022.

Lastly, the Minato-based auto firm had exported a total of 14,980 vehicles in June resulting in a fourth consecutive monthly year-on-year dip in export sales since February of this year.
