Nissan enjoys 1.5% increase in Apr. YOY
Nissan announced that it experienced a 1.5-percent increase in its overall global sales for the month of April, year-on-year.

Nissan sold 33,028 cars in Japan for the month of April.The Japanese carmaker stated that its sales for the said month totaled 258,077 units overall. In comparison, Nissan only sold 254,267 automobiles in the same month of 2022.
Of the abovementioned 258,077 vehicles sold by Nissan across the globe, 33,028 units were sold in Japan. The said figure included domestic passenger and commercial vehicle sales amounting to 22,175 and mini vehicles totaling 10,853.
Speaking of which, Nissan was also happy to report that its domestic sales for the month of April surpassed last year’s results by 26.6 percent. In May of 2022, the brand’s overall sales in Japan was 28,003. Of the said number, it included domestic and passenger sales totaling 17,552 and mini vehicle sales amounting to 10,481.
Nissan did not say exactly which models were among the best sellers. To note, the brand’s local lineup consists of moldes like the Almera sedan, Livina multi-purpose vehicle, Navara pickup truck, and Terra sport utility vehicle.
Nissan Philippines also has electrified models in its roster such as the Kicks e-Power and the Leaf. In terms of performance models, local car buyers can choose from either the GT-R or the 370Z.
It could be possible that Nissan’s top-sellers include some of the models mentioned above.
Export-wise, Nissan mentioned that it shipped 37,231 cars from Japan. On that note, the carmaker revealed that its export figures went up by a whopping 114 percent.
In terms of production, Nissan made a total of 240,020 vehicles globally in April, which reflects a 15.8 percent increase compared to the company’s overall worldwide automobile production in the same month last year.
