If there’s one model in Nissan’s current stock of cars that looks good in crazy color combinations, it’s got to be the Nissan Juke. After introducing the N-Sport, Stinger, and Black Pearl editions last year, Nissan reinvigorates interest in their groovy crossover with the new Nissan Juke N-Style special edition. Featuring a bolder look, the new Juke edition includes two color combinations—Black Obsidian with Yellow accents and Cosmic Blue with White accents.
Choosing the Cosmic Blue variant gives you a blue Juke with a white finish on the headlight garnish, side mirror caps, door handles, rear spoiler, and tailgate handle, with white accents at the front and rear bumpers. The black Juke gives you these components in yellow.
The interior of each N-Style variant follows a similar treatment. Although black remains the dominant color, the contrast stitching, center console, shift knob, air vents, and window switch panel can come in either yellow or white depending on the exterior color you choose. It’s worth noting that the interior is plushier this time around, with the Japanese carmaker opting for leather upholstery on the steering wheel and seats, instead of the plastic wheel and cloth seats used on previous special editions, particularly the Stinger.
The Nissan Juke N-Style’s power comes from a 1.6-liter HR16DE 4-inline gasoline engine that delivers 114 hp and 154 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to Nissan’s Xtronic CVT. Dual front SRS airbags come standard on the Juke’s special edition models, as do safety features such as anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD) with brake assist, engine immobilizer, and reverse camera. No significant changes are apparent regarding this special edition’s equipment list.
“We are excited to kick-off 2017 with a bang as we launch the new Nissan Juke N-Style,” said Ramesh Narasimhan, President and Managing Director of Nissan Philippines, Inc. “The Nissan Juke is one of Nissan’s bestselling vehicles, being embraced by the local market since its launch early last year. And to celebrate, we are introducing the new N-Style variant of the Nissan Juke. With the introduction of this vehicle, we at Nissan continue on our push to be bolder and more exciting than ever before.”
Nissan reveals that only 500 units carrying the N-Style edition badge are set to be put on sale nationwide. Each unit costs P1,080,000 per.
The N-Style edition is the latest in a line of special editions to come the Juke’s way. Take a look at some of the other editions below and see how they differ.
The Stinger name easily conjures images of our little yellow and black honey-making friends, and that’s exactly what this particular Juke edition looks like. It was the Stinger that kicked of the Color Studio line for the Juke, which provided specially colored parts and accessories that dealers can easily install onto Nissan’s funky crossover for a price. The Yellow Juke Stinger features black-painted wheels, door handles, side mirrors, and rear spoiler, while the black lower front and rear bumpers sport yellow accents. The Black Stinger reverses this color scheme.
The Black Pearl Juke features a Super Black exterior with Pearl White highlights on the front bumper, headlamp rings, mirror caps, door handles, rear bumper, and spoiler. Super Black alloy wheels complete the package, as does a healthy smattering of Black Pearl badging spread throughout the vehicle. The black and white motif seeps into the cabin as well. White accents to be found on the cloth seats, door trim inserts, steering wheel, power window switches, center console, shift knob, and air vent rings.
As the name suggests, the N-Sport is a sportier model of the Juke, featuring a new exterior and interior kit designed to make the crossover’s appearance plenty more exciting. Following design cues from sports cars past, the Juke N-Sport boasts of two racing stripes—one narrow and one wide. These run the entire length of the vehicle from hood to trunk. Pearl White and Solar Yellow variants come with black stripes, while Red Alert and Black Obsidian get white. Other sporty additions include front and rear under protectors, roof-mounted spoiler, and a redesigned exhaust finisher.
We look forward to whatever more the Color Studio line can do to improve one of Carmudi’s favorite vehicles. Hopefully soon, buyers will have the option to create their own color combinations.
